Y/N's pov:

"Can you calm down and come eat breakfast?" my mom said with a sigh.

"I don't want to see her again, but our lockers are almost next to each other, which means I'll be seeing her and her friends everyday, and her friends probably hate me because the only sentence I said, I said it with a blank face, so they probably think-"

My mom came up to me and grabbed my shoulders, making my rambles stop.

"Sorry." I said with a slight chuckle.

I sat down in the kitchen and started eating the delicious meal that was sitting in front of me. I was zoning out pretty much every second, thinking of different scenarios that might happen at school that day. As soon as I finished my breakfast, I waved my mom a quick goodbye and left for school.

The more steps I took towards the entrance of Hollywood Arts, the more anxious I became. I took a deep breath before entering. Thankfully, Jade was nowhere to be seen. The only person standing near my locker was a pretty, long-haired, brunette girl. I walked up to my locker and took a few things that I needed.

"I assume your name is Y/N, right?" the girl spoke.

I recognized her from yesterday. She seemed nice. It put my mind at ease.

"Yeah" I replied with a slight smile. "Sorry if I came off as rude yesterday, I really didn't mean to."

"Don't worry, I understand how stressful it can get at a new school with barely any familiar faces. But it seems like you know Jade from somewhere."

"Normally, I'd be happy to see someone I know, but Jade is my ex, so the future I was planning to make isn't gonna be exactly as I pictured." I mentioned.

"Oh" the brunette gasped. "Well I hope we can still be friends. By the way, my name is Tori. Tori Vega." she says as she walks off.

Before I get a chance to leave my locker, the rest of Tori's friends, including Jade, walk over to the place they were standing at yesterday, which just so happens to be next to my locker. The anxiety in me grew as they came closer.

"Oh hi! You're the girl from yesterday! I'm Cat." the happy redhead stated.

Everyone continued to introduce themselves. They were all very nice. I was hoping that Jade wouldn't get in the way of my newly built relationships with them. One guy was standing slightly further, looking at something on his pearphone. I walked up to him, introduced myself and asked what his name was.

"I'm Beck. Pleasure to meet you Y/N."

His name rang a bell in my head. Jade's old words resurfaced my mind.

"I think...I think I'm in love with someone else. Beck."

"Do you mind if I get you alone for a second?" I calmly said with a slight frown on my face.

He looked confused, but agreed.

"What's the matter?"

"You don't happen to be dating Jade, do you?" I questioned him, wishing he wouldn't be weirded out.

"Not anymore. We broke up about 3 months ago. Why do you ask?"

"Oh, it's nothing, don't worry."

We both walked back to the lockers. I felt relieved that they weren't together anymore. I wasn't about to watch them be all lovey-dovey. I'd feel like a complete fool.

The bell rang and everyone walked to class.

*lunch time*

Many students were socializing amongst each other. I, however, was alone. I didn't know anyone in this class. I tried to find Tori, but I had absolutely no idea what class she had. After a few minutes of searching, I finally ran into her.

"There you are! I've been walking around the school trying to find you, I really don't wanna be alone out here." I said.

"Come sit with me at lunch, it will be fun, I promise."

I hesitated, knowing Jade would be there, but the look in her eyes showed that she wasn't gonna take no for an answer. I didn't have anyone else to sit with anyway. I nodded as an answer and we both proceeded to walk to the lunch table.

Jade's pov:

I was eating a burrito when I saw Tori come with Y/N. I came to the realization that I'll be seeing Y/N every single day and I hated it. I wasn't too happy with the thought of her coming back into my life, but I couldn't change anything now.

Everyone at the table was laughing at something. For some reason, I wasn't listening to them. I was in my own head space. I shot a look at Y/N, who was sitting across from me. She was telling a story and making others giggle as she giggled with them. The sound of her laugh made me feel a warmth in my chest.

"Stop staring at me, dickhead." Y/N's voice snapped me out of my daydreams.

"Nice nickname." I snapped back as I smirked. "And I was just staring to make you uncomfortable." I lied. I didn't actually realize I was staring.

She rolled her eyes and got back to talking. I was kind of confused on why she called me a dickhead. Perhaps she wasn't too content with sitting at the same table as me. I'd understand that. But she would always be so nice, even to people that were rude to her. I guess it changed. Not that I care.

Y/N's pov:

I drove home after school. I genuinely had a good day. Jade didn't bother me at all. I didn't even mind her being there.

I remembered it was Friday. I let out a little noise of excitement. I was gonna invite my new friends to spend some time with me.

Suddenly, I get a text.
