Y/N's pov:

Monday. School. As much as I hated school, I was excited to go that day. Not sure for what reason. I mean, I guess I knew, but I couldn't accept it.

I left home early to go grab some coffee. I drove straight to school after that. I entered Sikowitz's classroom. He looked like he was waiting to tell us something exciting. That instantly made me nervous.

I was daydreaming for at least half of the class. Tori poked me and told me to pay attention. Apparently, he was about to say something important.

"Today, all of you will be getting partners for your stage kiss that you will be acting out next week."

I took a deep breath and sighed. I didn't wanna kiss anyone in that class. Well, anyone that I knew.

"Tori with Andre, Cat with Robbie, Jade with Beck, Y/N with Tamara.." Sikowitz started listing.

I got paired with someone I've never talked to before. Great. I looked around the classroom to find my partner. I saw a girl waving at me. I assumed that was Tamara, so I walked up to her and sat down in the empty chair besides her. She had all black, fluffy, straight hair and brown eyes. Her nose and cheeks were covered in freckles.

"Hi!" she quietly said with a smile. "Here's my number."

She wrote her number on a little piece of paper and handed it to me as the bell rang. I took it and put it in my pocket.

"I'll text you when I'm free." I gave her a little smile and left the class.

I spotted my friends standing near my locker. I ran up to them.

"How are you liking your new partners?" Tori asked everyone.

"I'm sure Cat will be an amazing partner." Robbie stated while looking at her.

"I'm so happy to be paired with Beck, who is my ex, for a stage kiss." Jade muttered sarcastically.

"What about you, Y/N?" Tori looked over to me.

"My partner seems really nice. She's extremely pretty, like, almost exactly my type." I said.

"Maybe she's your future girlfriend." Tori winked.

"Oh shut up." I laughed.

Jade rolled her eyes, turned around and stormed off. She was probably annoyed of Tori. Tori and I looked at each other in confusion. We just brushed it off and continued our day.

I texted Tamara's number when I got home. We had a short chat. I gave her my address and we made plans for the week to plan the stage kiss.

*5 pm the next day*

I was waiting for Tamara. We made plans for her to come over, so we could write our script. I heard the doorbell ring. I ran to the door and opened it.

"Hi." Tamara said and smiled.

We hugged and I let her in. We walked to my room and started working on our script.

"Do you have any ideas in mind?" she questioned.

"We could pretend to be a famous couple who were together just for fame, but one of us secretly fell in love." I explained.

"I love this idea, you're so creative!" Tamara complimented.

I felt my cheeks get red. It's almost like I suddenly got a crush on this girl. We discussed further ideas and got to work.

*some time later*

"I'll come by again tomorrow!" Tamara shouted from her dad's car.

I showed her a thumbs up and waved as the car drove off. I was looking forward to tomorrow. She was so fun to be around.

My mom called for dinner, so I made my way to the kitchen.

"Who is this new friend of yours?" she asked in curiosity.

"That's Tamara. She's my partner in class. We'll have to do a stage kiss next week." I responded.

My mom would constantly tease me when she thought I had a new crush, even when I didn't. It wasn't any different this time.

*end of the week*

Tamara and I were practicing our stage kiss, except we never actually kissed. I guess we were both too shy.

"Maybe we should try it with the kiss?" Tamara suggested.

"I guess we could." I said nervously.

We acted everything out, and as soon as we got to the kiss, I froze for a second and ended up hugging her instead.

"Sorry, I'm just not prepared. I promise I won't be like this tomorrow." I muttered.

"Don't worry, it's all good." she reassured me.

I smiled and hugged her again. Her dad was outside to pick her up, so she left. I was slightly nervous to act this out in class. I wondered how Jade would react.

I put all my worries aside and went to sleep.

Hi! Sorry for this short chapter, I just don't have many ideas. Next chapter will be the continuation of this one, where the stage kiss happens, I'm excited for you to see how Jade reacts :)
