Jade's pov:

"Oh, uh... I don't know... maybe all of this was a.. a mistake." the words left my mouth.

I don't know why I said that. I didn't even mean it. It's not what I wanted to say at all. I tried to explain myself, but Y/N wouldn't let me. She just went off on me, which I understood. In that situation, I would feel the same as her. I guess I just never thought about how much she loved me.

She ran out of the janitor's closet. I wanted to go after her, but she slammed the door in my face. I couldn't help but cry. Tears were coming out without a stop. I fell to the ground and just sat there, sobbing. I had no idea why I said what I said.

I was in love with her.

I knew I had to explain myself. I decided to do it a few days later, since I figured that we both needed time alone. I was sure that she wouldn't even let me talk to her.

After I calmed down a bit, I looked at the camera at my phone to see if I looked normal. I did not. My mascara and eyeliner were smeared all over my eyes and cheeks. I knew all eyes would be on me if I left looking like that. I needed to leave somehow, so I texted Tori, asking her to come. In just a minute, I could hear her knocking, so I let her in.

"What the hell happened?" she asked. "First, Y/N rushed out all crying, and now you?"

"Don't question it. Do you have makeup wipes?" I mumbled.

"You're lucky I do." Tori said as she handed me some makeup wipes from her bag.

I took them and cleaned my whole face. Tori was about to speak, but I left before she could. I ran to my car and drove home. I regretted everything I said earlier. I just didn't know what got over me.

Y/N's pov:

The next day, I decided to stay home. I knew I'd cry on the spot if I saw Jade. I turned off all of my alarms and went back to sleep. I heard my bedroom door open and spotted my mom.

"Honey, it's time for school. You're gonna be late." she whispered.

"I'm not going." I groaned.

"You have to. You can't just skip out on it."

"Well I will. There is no way I'm going." I said.

"Why? Is someone bullying you? What's happening with you? You stayed in your room the whole day yesterday." my mom softly asked.

I started crying immediately. I couldn't hold back the tears. They kept flowing and flowing.

"Sweetie, calm down." my mom said as she wiped my cheeks. "Talk to me. You will feel so much better."

"It's.. J-Jade. We sort of had a thing, but we weren't dating and everything was secret. When I told Jade I want others to know, she called everything a mistake." I said with a shaky voice.

"Oh god.. she doesn't deserve you. You are so amazing and so worth it. Your love is never a mistake. Just make sure to give that love to a person that will appreciate it." she advised.

I smiled and closed my eyes in hopes of falling asleep again. I woke back up at about 11 am. I slowly got up and made my way to the kitchen. I noticed that my mom made breakfast for me before leaving for work. I wasn't really hungry, but I ate it anyways.

I was bored while eating, so I decided to check the slap. The first video I saw was of Jade. I turned my phone off and set it aside. I turned on the TV to look for a movie to watch. The movie that was playing on the first channel I turned on was The Scissoring. Why did everything have to remind me of Jade?

I groaned and turned a different channel on. A random cartoon was playing, so I just watched that. It was enough to keep me distracted for some time.

A few hours later, I heard the doorbell ring. I went up to the door and looked through the peep hole. Tori was standing there.

"What do you want?" I said after I opened the door.

"Where were you today? Why didn't you answer my calls? What happened with you and Jade?" Tori freaked out.

"One question at a time, please." I said blankly.

"Why weren't you at school today?" she asked as she walked into my house and sat down on my couch.

"I didn't feel like going." I muttered.

"You didn't feel like going because..?"

"Because of Jade." I replied.

"What in the world happened yesterday? First, you ran away crying. Then, Jade asked me to come over to her and I saw her face all black from her makeup and tears."

"She was the one that messed us up, she shouldn't be crying."

"Maybe you wanna explain everything?" Tori questioned.

I said the same story I told my mom in the morning. Of course, I could barely keep my tears in, but somehow, I managed to keep my cool. Once I finished explaining, Tori pulled me into a long, comforting hug. I was so glad someone knew. I would completely destroy myself if I had to keep everything inside.

"Please go to school tomorrow. I promise I'll be by your side whenever I can." Tori said.

"Ok, I will. Thank you so much, really." I smiled. "Now, do you want to go out to eat lunch?"

"Yes, I'm starving!"

Tori and I decided to go to Nozu to get sushi for lunch. We got in my car and drove there. Tori was walking in front of me as we entered.

"Oh no." Tori whispered with a worried look on her face.

I looked in the direction her eyes were looking and spotted Jade sitting with Cat.

"I'm getting the fuck out." I said and turned around.

"No! We can't leave just because Jade is here. We can sit far from her, she won't even notice you." Tori whisper yelled.

"I told you, I'm leaving." I stated.

"Fine, but wait in the car for me. I have to do something." Tori said.

I was confused, but went along with it. I sat down in my car and waited for Tori to come back.

Jade's pov:

I was eating lunch with Cat at Nozu. I really needed a distraction from everything, but I didn't wanna be alone. I decided to invite Cat with me because she didn't know anything anyways. I drank a sip of my drink when I noticed Tori storming towards me.

"Cat, stay here." she said and dragged me to the bathroom.

"What the hell?" I shouted.

"Why did you do that?" she asked.

"What are you talking about?" I raised my eyebrow in confusion.

"A mistake? Really?" Tori shook her head as if she was disappointed. "I guess you're using people now."

"That's not what I meant! I panicked!" I yelled.

"I'm not the one that needs to know that."

"I'm working on it. I just need some time." I sighed.

"Don't take too long." Tori gave me one last angry look before she left me alone.

I leaned against the wall and closed my eyes, taking Tori's words in. I had to talk to Y/N before I ran out of time.
