Reasons Unfold

"Chase?" Rocky called via his pup tag.

"Yea?" his voice replied.

"Are Ryder and Katie... umm... fighting?"

"What do you mean?"

"I just saw Katie running away in tears... She came from where Ryder would be. Are those two even dating?"

"I absolutely have no idea..."

"Well I'm gonna investigate and find out."

"Don't let your nosy behavior get you caught. Your luck is tremendous yet scary. I even considered to ask Ryder to train you into a spy pup."

"Oh haha I won't. And besides even if you did ask, I would reject. Water ain't my thing and I don't want to crawl in water pipes for spying." the gray pup chuckled.

"That's true... Tell me if you get anything."

"Sure will."

The pup silently walked towards the private lounge where Ryder said he'd be. As soon as he got close, the door opened.

He took a peek, but he was bamboozled. Ryder was with Nat like he said he would.

"Hmm.... That's strange..." He thought.

He sneaked a bit closer and listened to their conversation.

"What time will you depart to escort the princess?" Nat asked

"Around 10 AM. We'll do a final check up on the Air Patroller an hour beforehand."

"Just like he said to us... Nothing fishy yet..."

The two began to walk away from him. He silently followed their steps, however a furry paw landed on his back.

"GAHH-" he screamed and closed his mouth.

Just before Ryder and Nat turned around to face him, he dashed away with the pup that scared him.

"Did you hear that?" Nat asked.

"Yeah... Maybe someone was in the hallway..." Ryder muttered.

"Probably..." she said while checking her surroundings one last time. "You should prepare yourself for tomorrow. Lack of sleep can bring a toll on you."

The two keep chatting to each other as they walked away from the two pup. One was still running, dragging the intruder with him.

Rocky stopped behind a wall and panted. He looked at the pup that nearly blow his cover with an angry yet surprised gaze.

"Zuma?! What the pup?! Why did you do that?! You nearly got me caught!" Rocky mid-shouted at him while keeping his voice as quiet as possible.

"Hey, you'we one of the pups that suggested the 'No eavesdwopping Wydew' wule.. And now you bwoke it."

"Sometimes we need to break them in dire needs." he glared at him.
