Chapter 6 - Café Drama

*still flashback*

Irene was almost late for her class, but she couldn't help but continue to stare at the boy who waited for her all night in astonishment. The boy waiting was Jin. The soft tone he had spoken to her yesterday was just as nice as when they were friends before Joy and Chanyeol showed up.

Irene slightly remembered the good days when they were at the kindergarten classroom playing fun little games they came up with themselves, until Joy and Chanyeol showed up a few months after. They sashayed into the room like never before (mainly Joy) and Joy taught Irene all different things that she found weird. Joy taught her things like how boys were gross and had cooties and was told that they were supposed to stay away from people like Jin even if they were nice.

After that, Irene never really saw Jin as often anymore, and missed his company more than she enjoyed Joy's presence.

Now, after spacing out for 10 minutes, Irene was 2 minutes away from being late to her first class of the day, and her friends Wendy and Mina came running for her, dragging her away from her daydream.

A minute later, Jin woke up and realized he had stayed at school all night long. Without realizing what he was doing, he entered into the girls' bathroom to find that no one was in there but him. He immediately ran out of the bathroom to his class which he was a minute late for.

*present day*

Irene had cleaned up the last bit of tears that were left on her face and began to pull out her phone to text her friends if they wanted to go to the campus café for a cup of bubble tea. She tossed on her jacket and headed out as fast as she could so that she wouldn't run into Joy or anyone else that she just couldn't deal with right now. After a few minutes of walking across the campus, Irene reached the café and saw that her friends had already been waiting there for her.

"Hey Irene! Hope you don't mind, but we felt that us three had to get to know our new roommates as well, so we brought them with us!" Wendy said.

"It's fine. Getting to know our new roommates will help us build a better bond!" Irene said trying to sound as peppy as she could to not reveal her breakdown that occurred just a few minutes before.

They ordered their drinks and settled down into their seats again. They began to ask some simple questions to each other like where they were from, and if they knew each other before going to college and all was going well until the bell of the door rang, signaling someone came in or exited. They all turned around to a surprise.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't little Miss Irene and her Stupid Squad!" Joy exclaimed with her crew behind her snickering at Irene's group.

"Oh, no." Irene muttered to herself as she buried herself in her arms.

A/N: i don't curse, and couldn't come up with anything better than "Stupid Squad" so since Joy would definitely say more than just "Stupid Squad", feel free to replace "Stupid" with a different word!
