Chapter 11 - Nauseous Rides

Now, Joy was pounding so hard at the door that people from down the hall could hear. At one point, I could hear someone trying to calm Joy down and ask her what was wrong, but I didn't recognize who had just tried to control her and I was too overwhelmed by what just happened to even care who took her away. Chaeyoung and Mina helped me walk over to my bed before I broke down even more. When the tissue I was using soaked up all my tears, I saw Dahyun and Wendy checking outside to see if there was any clue on who just took away such a person.

"It doesn't seem like they are still around." I hear Wendy say.

Just as she says that, we all hear Joy scream again but from a different door across the hall.

"Do you think we should go out right about now?" Dahyun asks quickly.

"Yeah, let's go." Chaeyoung says while picking up her bag to head out.

We all head out really quickly so that Joy won't encounter us and then we headed to Burger Prince before we went to the Night Market. When we got to Burger Prince, I went to the bathroom and started rinsing my face with water to get rid of the tear stains that had dried on my face.

Can this day get any worse? I think.

I recheck my face for any signs of tears, and then I head out to find my friends already munching away at their burgers and salads.

"Irene! Come eat quickly!" I hear Mina shout towards me.

"Ok. Coming!" I shout back, while running towards the table.

Once I arrived at the table, Wendy started speaking.

"I just found out that the Night Market is opening a bit earlier than usual. Meaning, we have to eat a bit quicker if we want to go there and not be squeezed between everyone." Wendy says.

As soon as I hear that the Night Market is opening earlier, I automatically unwrap my barbecue cheeseburger and start chewing on the juicy burger. Around ten minutes pass by and we all have finished our meal and start to gather our things to head to the Night Market. We all get onto a subway and some of us manage to find some seats. I, however, am stuck in between a bunch of different people, trying to just find my way to a railing that I can hold on to. But I can't go through and feel like I am being tossed around in the subway train. We finally reach our stop, and as I try to shove people away so I can get out, I feel like I am about to puke from motion sickness.

"Are you okay?" I hear Mina say as I see her get out of the cart a few seconds after me.

"Yeah, I'm fine, just a little sick from the tossing and turning on the subway." I reply.

"Okay, if you say so." Mina says while looking around to see where the others are.

"There they are!" I scream to Mina, pointing towards the three that are looking around confused.

We ran towards them and asked them why they looked so confused.

"I think we go this way, right?" Wendy asks us in confusion.

"I'm pretty sure. Wait...didn't you say that you knew how to get there when we were at Burger Prince?" Mina asks.

"Well that might have been a tiny lie." Wendy looks away guiltily.

"WENDY!" we all shout at her.

She looks really sorry, and we all apologize.

"Let's just search up how to get there, alright?" I say.

"Ok." they all reply.

"While you do that, I'll look around for someone who can show us where we go." Dahyun says.

"Sure." I say, still looking for directions on my phone.

A few minutes pass by, and just as I almost find the directions, I get an alert that my data for the month had surpassed. I get really angry and start freaking out. Luckily, Chaeyoung was able to calm me down before I grew insane.

"Okay, so does anyone else have data on their phones?" I ask, after I have calmed down.

"No, sorry!" they all reply.

We end up looking around to see if there is any sign for Mina, and after a few minutes of searching, Mina comes back with a tall guy that I couldn't recognize from far away.

"Hey guys! I'm back and look who I found!" Mina says, pointing at the guy she found.

I was relieved that Mina had come back with someone who could help in our situation, but Chaeyoung and Dahyun both were shocked by the person who had come to help.

"What are you doing here, Vernon?" Dahyun said while scoffing to the side.

"Do you two know each other?" Wendy asked.

"Yeah, we used to date." Dahyun says with a death stare in her eyes.

A/N: i want to make it very clear that seventeen is my favorite boy group and that they still have a special place in my heart and that i, in no way, have any type of hatred towards vernon.
