Irene got ready to leave for the club to celebrate making their way through two years of college. She then got a text from what she saw was a blocked number. The only people she remembered blocking was Taehyung, Jin, and that creepy cousin of hers who came on to her in high school.
The text read, "Hey. Can we talk? This might sound creepy, but look into your bag and follow on from there." Irene was really weirded out but decided, why not?
She looked into her bag, and lo and behold, there was a note inside. She took it out and read it. "Go to the place where you travel to daily and pick up a treat." The only place she could think of was the bakery and since Chaeyoung had a part-time job there, she thought that she could help her with this hunt. She sped over there since she didn't want to be late for the club.
There, Chaeyoung was wrapping up for the day and when Irene entered, she grabbed a note on the table behind her and put it in her hand.
"What would you like today?" Chaeyoung stood straight and asked.
"Um, just a matcha green tea bun I guess." she answered, confused.
Chaeyoung took the bun and put it in a sealable bag with the note inside. As she handed the bag to her, Irene quickly paid and then sat at a table, looking at the note. "Go where the whole internet is at your fingertips." Irene quickly ran to the computer lab after some time of thinking. There, she found Mina, who loved going there as well to play games and do her work.
"Up for a game?" Mina asks.
"Sure." Irene sighed.
They played a quick round and then Mina handed her the note, which read "Your other best friend is waiting at her club building." Irene thought about it and most of the clubs were either held in classrooms or in one giant building. She remembered that Wendy's debate club was part of the bigger building and when she arrived there, Wendy was just holding the note high up in the air.
"Here for the note?" Wendy arches her eyebrows.
"Why else would I be here?" she sighed once more, exhausted that this was taking her so long.
"You'll have to debate with me why you should get this note." Wendy smirked.
They debated for a bit until Wendy surrendered since she was the best on the team and if they continued, they would never finish. Irene unfolded the note and she saw the following words.
"Nothing is better than reading your favorite book." Irene was done with this game, but she decided to continue since she felt that it was almost over. She made her way to the library and found her favorite book being occupied by Dahyun.
"Want this book?" Dahyun asks.
"Sure." Irene replied, panting from the running.
"I'll tell you what the note says but you better know this book inside out and remember the past as well." Dahyun explains.
"Ok." she said.
"Where did Tom confess his love to Rosie?" she asks.
Irene thought about it for a minute and then she connected the dots. Tom brought Rosie to the first place they met. Irene assumed that the guy writing all these notes was Jin. She couldn't drive all the way to the first place they met, so she thought of where they first had an actual conversation. She ran out of the library and headed to the dorm since that's where they bumped into each other, but when she got there, only Joy was standing there.
"Heads up. It's not here." she smiled.
Irene then ran to the park that was right across from campus, since that's where he talked about the fake dating thing which passed by much quicker than expected since it was announced that sophmore Momo and senior Heechul were dating. (they broke up after a year) Jin was standing there right at the entrance of the park waiting for Irene. When Irene got there, Jin fanned her to come closer and she suspiciously walked over.
"Let's talk over here." Jin smiled when directing her to the bench where they talked about the dating situation at the beginning of freshman year.
"I made a mistake." he said after some moments of silence and trying to think of the right words.
"What do you mean?" Irene looks at him.
"When you told me that you liked me, I made a mistake by rejecting you. After that, hanging out with any girl just wasn't the same as with you. I don't know if you'll still take me, but I wanted to know if you would be up for it, I'd like to take you out on a date sometime." Irene was still in confusion and shock but she knew exactly how she was going to respond.
"I'd like that." Irene smiles.
After Jin threw around some surprised faces, he hugged Irene and then out of nowhere, kissed her on the lips. This was both of their first kisses, surprising huh?
They broke off the kiss with their foreheads connected and both of them laughing. It was now sunset time and they walked towards the sun until they reached the nice little river with the perfect viewpoint. Close behind, their friends, even Jin's who didn't want to participate in the hunt, were stalking them and taking pictures from behind while high-fiving each other.
They decided to leave them alone from then on, and as the sun set, the two kissed each other once more and leaned on each other's shoulders.
The End.
