"Alycia, I'm back!" I shout as I walk through the door

"Alycia, I'm back!" I shout as I walk through the door. I shut the door behind me and lock it, then turn around. When I do I'm not met with Alycia. I'm just met with boxes. I tilt my head to the side, slipping my shoes off and walking over to the kitchen area placing the food down and the wine. Once it's down I look around and bite my lip.

"Alycia?" I call out again walking towards the living room. That's where I find Alycia sitting dazed as she stares down at the coffee table. I walk closer and look over her shoulder finally finding a book open with hand writing inside of it. "Alycia, whatcha doing?"

"I was going through boxes," she whispers keeping her eyes still on the journal. I walk around the couch and look down at the journal realizing it was one of mine. I shut my eyes a moment biting the inside of my cheek before slowly sitting down beside Alycia, cupping my hands together. "You never told me about this..."

"It was in the past," I answer, my voice low but my shoulders shrugging. I open my eyes and glance to the girl seeing tears on the brim of her eyes. I gently uncup my hands and reach over, grabbing a hold of her hand. I take it into my own and let out hands rest on her lap while keeping my eyes on her side profile. "Alycia, it doesn't define who I am. I wrote that in a time where I was in a bad place, okay? I'm not there anymore."

"But Y/N-" Alycia pauses, her eyes closing as she turns in her seat. Her body turns facing me and that's when she finally opens her eyes, ours locking. "Your sister did exactly what you wrote. Maybe not exactly, exactly. But you had the same thoughts. You... The things I read in there-" I squeeze the girl's hand nodding my head up and down gently.

"I know, I know. But Alycia, I promise you it's all in the past-" I tear my eyes from Alycia's and to the journal. "Everything that I wrote in there is a fighter. Is a survivor. They made out and now here I am. I've moved on."

"That shit is messed up Y/N." I nod my head up and down, agreeing looking back and forth between the girl's eyes. I separate my lips to speak but don't when Alycia clings forward and wraps her arms around me pulling me close. I drape my arms around her as she squeezes me tightly. "I'm sorry that happened to you."

"Don't be," I whisper back. "It's all over now." I rub circles on her back for a moment before the both of us break apart. That's when a small smile forms on my lips as I reach my hand up briefly patting her knee. "We should eat. I got the wine."

A chuckle escapes Alycia as she reaches up her hands and wipes at her eyes. I bite my lip and stand up briefly. "You stay here. I'll go get everything." Quickly I walk away from the couch and head out to the kitchen. Once I'm out there I grab the bag of food but stop when I feel my phone buzz. I let go of the bag and pull out my phone, seeing a text message from an unknown number.

I tilt my head and open my phone then go into my texts only causing my eyes to go wide

"Y/N, everything alright in there?" Alycia calls out causing me to click my phone off and quickly slide it into my back pocket

"Y/N, everything alright in there?" Alycia calls out causing me to click my phone off and quickly slide it into my back pocket. I clench my jaw as I grab the food and the wine. Swiftly I turn on my heels and head back to the living room, but try and calm myself as a headache starts to form. But when I get into the living room I see Alycia sitting on the couch with a blanket over her and the tv on. I bite the side of my lip as a small smile forms on my lips. I walk around the couch and take a seat beside the Australian setting down the food and the wine.

"Oh the fancy stuff?" Alycia says, shocked. I nod slightly and pull out the food, handing some to Alycia as she opens the wine and fills some glasses. Once we're settled, we dig in and the movie plays but I can't help my head going in all kinds of different directions knowing very well the person that texted me was Uncle Thomas.
