Scared to love

The truth

                     Akira's POV

After sometime everyone left but Zac stayed over. This was the first time after the accident we got some alone time.

"So what happened in 2 weeks?" I asked keeping my head on his chest.

"We told you everything" Zac said stroking my hair

"Yeah! But I want to know about you" I said looking at his handsome face

"Uhh.... nothing much" he was behaving weirdly

"Look, Zac I didn't know Noah would come back and behave like my bo-" I didn't want to complete my sentence

"Your boyfriend" Zac said giving a sarcastic chuckle

"Look, like you said Noah is my past and I cannot deny it but you are my present I lo-" I was going to confess but I didn't want too, I wanted to wait for the perfect time.

"I love spending time with you and you have no need to be jealous of him. Okay?" I covered up well

He gave me one of his gorgeous smile and we kissed.

"Now go home. I don't like sleep deprived Zac" I said noticing his dark circles

"Hey I look like Brad Pitt when I am sleep deprived." He said smugly

"Yes and Brad Pitt is going to be so proud knowing that. Now go home, take a bath and sleep." I said

"Yes mom. And you take care and don't miss me so much. Bye" he waved

After he left I immediately fell asleep.

              Noah's POV

I left Ira's home when everyone flooded in , she didn't even notice. She is behaving like I mean nothing to her. She never spoke to me since she woke up from coma.

And that douche Zac he doesn't leave her alone. I didn't have a choice when I left or else I would have never left my Ira alone.

She couldn't wake up in the morning without me waking her up , she would wait for me to come from the gym at night to call her so we could talk about our day. And now she didn't let me touch her and even kissed that asshole in front of me.

The year and a half I have been away from her was like death to me. I developed all sorts of bad habits. I just waited to come back and meet her. Thinking about her was the only thing keeping me alive.

When I brought her to the hospital she was bleeding so badly. I called Teressa and Leonard and they brought Zac along with them. Apparently ira was on a call with him when she was hit by the car.

The next two weeks were the worst everyone let Zac do everything including my best friend Jason. Everyone mostly ignored me but I couldn't care less. Everyday I met Ira and talked to her about my day as we used to.

But I got the shock of my life when immediately after waking up she wanted to see Zac and she called for Zac with all her strength.

I never went back to the hospital but when I got to know from Mason ira was getting discharged I forgot everything and went to her house aunt Marta knew me so she let me in.

I decorated Ira's room just like she did when I fractured my leg. I hoped it will remind her of the beautiful times we shared together. But she behaved so indifferently it broke my heart.

I promised myself to win her back whatever it takes I will do it. So I decided I will make her favourite sandwich in the morning and have breakfast together.

Next day:

I quickly prepared her favourite sandwich and picked up her favourite Starbucks drink and reached her house.

I rang the bell and one of the house helps opened the door for me. Leonard was sitting on the couch.

"What are you doing here?" He asked in a stern voice.

"I came to see Ira with her favourite breakfast" I said smiling at him

"Whatever it is that you are planning please put a end to that. My daughter suffered a lot just because of you. She is happy with Zac and I don't want you to ruin it" he said looking me in the eye

"What are you talking about Leonard. I will never hurt ira intentionally. I had my reason for leaving the town. I love I-" I was interrupted

"It's too late for all this Noah. If you really care about her don't mess up her life again and if you do I am not gonna let you off easy" he said and went to his previous sit.

I was quite sure I didn't want to continue with the conversation. What has Zac done to everyone?

I quickly went up to ira's room.She was sitting on the bed doing something on her phone.

                    Akira's POV

I was trying to get used to my new phone as I lost the previous one in the accident when someone knocked and I said come in.

"Good morning. Look what I brought yo-" he said before I interrupted

"What are you doing here?" I asked

"To have breakfast with you and talk just like old times" he said and sat on my bed

"Nothing is like the old times anymore and nothing will be" I said sternly

"Look ira I am sorry. I have missed you so much. I really want you to know the truth" he said inhaling sharply

"What?" I said emotionless

"The day at Jason's party I got a phone call remember? " He said and I nodded"it was from Mum she told me to come back immediately, you were so happy I didn't tell you the truth and dropping you off , I rushed back home. Then I came to know everything. You know Murphy Merlyn right?" He asked

"The one who owns the hotel chains?" I answered with a question itself

"Yes. The big project my dad had been talking about was with him. But that bastard took all the money and somehow made the other investors believe that dad was behind all this. They had sent police over to our house and we ran to Canada. We somehow stopped this news from spreading with the help of Uncle Nelson. I couldn't contact you because they would have tracked us. I am sorry ira I really am" he said. His grey eyes glistening.

"Oh my god Noah. I had no idea. How did you people come back then?" I asked feeling terrible.

"Dad had hired a private detective. He finally solved everything and Merlyn was arrested. It was broadcasted on the tv too " he said giving a weak smile.

"Thank god. How is Erica and Sam?" I asked. His parents are the best.

"Better. They wanted to meet you" he said and I smiled , "Shall we start eating ?I got your favourite sandwich by the way I made it and your coffee" he said opening the wrapped up food.

"Ahh actually Zac is on his way, he will be here any moment now" I said and seeing he just muttered a 'oh' I understood how weird it's gonna be.
