Give me a chance

          Akira's POV

I tried to cross him without acknowledging his presence but he tapped on my shoulder gaining my attention.

I turned around with a questioning look trying to free my wrist. He took notice of it and let me go.

"I am sorry" he said to my utter surprise

"Sorry?" I said furrowing my eyebrows

"There was a reason I hit that blonde guy" he said and I didn't know what to say

Why was he apologizing to me? He doesn't need to update me with whatever he thought beating the guy.

"Umm.....ahh...ook...okay. I am not the one you should be apologizing to." I said taking a step back to leave.

I was not intimidated by him but when he took a step forward I couldn't help taking a step back but he kept walking closer , till my back touched the lockers. He trapped me in between his huge hands and I closed my eyes facing away.

"Why are you so scared of me?" he said in his amazingly husky voice.

"Well if you keep on hitting people and make them bleed all day you don't come out as the most friendly person on earth you know?" I said making eye contact.

I know he has been nothing but sweet to me but he can't beat people up. I am not at all a violent person.

"Give me a chance. I won't disappoint" he said with utmost sincerity reflecting in his eyes.

"Huh" I could only manage to say this which rather came out as a noise. He caught me off guard

"Give me a chance. I am not that bad" he said.

And for some unknown reason I got goosebumps.

"Can you please remove your hands " I said and he realised how uncomfortable he made me.

"I am sorry.....I " before he could complete i interrupted

"It's okay. See I believe you and about giving a chance I am no one to give you a chance but for what it's worth.. friends?" I said extending a hand.

He shook my hand giving me a charming smile.

"Can I ask you something?" I said while we started walking to our geography class together

He noded.

"Uh..why did you beat the guy up?" I asked while fidgeting with my books.

"Um it's not important" he said looking down

"I thought you had a reason" I said in a sarcastic tone and entered the class alone and sat beside Mia.

I was a bit disappointed in him but who am I to be disappointed. While talking to Mia, Zac and I exchanged glances from time to time.

Soon it was lunch time I went to our usual table.

"Dude you people know why the new guy beat up Mark? " Kurt said

"No!Tell us" all of them said in unison.

"That drunk bastard wanted to fuck around with Akira" Kurt said and I was shocked

"What?" I said

"Yes Mayim was there pouring herself a drink and overheard their conversation" Kurt said and I swear I had never felt that guilty before.

"I gotta go" I said and got up searching for Zac he was not in the canteen so I went to his loker and found him there.

"I am so sorry Zac I didn't know what happened there and when I asked you the reason you said it was not important I thought you were just fooling around. Just before that we agreed on becoming friends but the next moment I storm off not believing you and now when I got....." I said as fast as a bullet train before he put his index finger on my lips. And I get goosebumps....again
