The Reunion ~ A Herophine Fanfiction

This is it. Finally.

I'm now at Heathrow airport. It feels like years since I've flown anywhere because of this pandemic. Even though the people who I'm flying out to see, are the people that I was seeing the last time I flew anywhere. The 'After' crew.

I've never spent that much time with a bunch of people, other than my family and close friends. But they are my extended family if you like, and that's why these upcoming few days are so important to me.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone of course. None of this would be possible without the amazing Anna. I love her dearly and she is a great friend.
The crazy OG few, who were always in those 'never a good ending' party scenes: Inanna, Pia, Khadijha, Swen and Sam.
The grownups: Selma, Peter, Louise, Jen, Charlie and Candice, Karimah and Rob.
The new comers in the final 2 movies: Chance, Stephen, Mira and Arielle.
The love triangle boys and Tessa's BFF: Carter, Dylan, Dylan and Shane.
Of course my amazing onscreen co-star and good friend Jo.
Everyone else:  film and camera crew and everyone behind the scenes that are able to make it to New York in time for this 'After' do.

Honestly it was the most amazing experience and I will never forget the friendships I've made and all the fun shit that happened.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Jo as well. We talk sometimes over FaceTime and we text often. But we both have our own lives to live now. The media is fucking ridiculous. I don't read into social media and news that much. If it's a worldwide thing sure but never if it's about myself, unless someone brings up something important. I know fans have this idea that if actors film together and its a romantic relationship. They basically automatically ship those actors together. I guess it's much more common in a movie like ours was. One that is a romance movie with sexual scenes. So here we are with the ship name 'Herophine'. Like I said I don't read into it or look at fan stuff that much. But we've been asked out it, hence how I know what the ship name is.

So now I have a stupidly long flight to New York. But I know what is waiting for me on the other side. A beautiful gang of people who I get to spend an amazing few days with. I'm actually in New York for a week. But this 'After' reunion is over a course of 3 days. Since some people where only free on certain days, we decided to extend a bit. Some people like me, are staying the whole way through. Whilst others are only dropping in for the day. People like Candice who have families for instance.

Luckily I'm taking this flight at 12pm or noon as others call it. It's a cloudy dark day and it's raining here in England. Classic. As it's kind of a weird time to fly, I wasn't bombarded by many people and I have security dude who escorts me in very public places like this. Now I'm on the plane, it's just me. Me, my thoughts and I.

I know it's odd to watch yourself in a movie, but 'After' is one of the 'most selected' on this plane's tv screen. I haven't watched it since it was released. Jo says she doesn't watch any of them as it's weird. I get it, I really do. I know some actors like to watch themselves in movies, to give themselves feedback on how to be better next time they are being filmed. But I'm not one of those people. So I've settled on watching some old movie which just looked good from the film cover. It's a bit cheesy but I feel as though I need to keep my spirits high for this journey.
