The Reunion ~ A Herophine Fanfiction

That was the best massage I've ever had. I feel so relaxed and at ease. I step back into the small waiting area, to see Anna waiting for me. "How was it?" She asks. Although I think she can tell how I feel from the large grin I have on my face. "Amazing!" I state happily. "And yours?" I ask her. Anna is also smiling just as much as me so I'm guessing she enjoyed her treatment too. "It was lovely" she says whilst standing. We walk back into the main spa entrance. Anna slips away on a phone call to Inanna and I decide to look for Hero. He can't be far away, either that or he will have left and gone back to his room. I find something that looks like a pool and call out "Hero? Hero are you round here?"
"Yeah here Jo!" I still can't quite recall what direction his voice is coming from. It sounds like it's coming from round a tight corner by the pool. "Hero?" I pop my head round the corner to see him sitting in the jacuzzi. The water is bubbling away and he looks so sexy. His torso is peaking through the water and I can see his black trucks filling with air. I see Hero looking at me-no more like staring at me. He seems to notice me and that I've caught him. Hero shakes his head a little and then just smiles. I walk over and climb into the jacuzzi beside him. Not too close, but not to far. There is a small distance between which I very much want to close.

"Hey" he says. His cheeks are a little pink, but I can't tell whether it's because of the warm water we are surrounded by. "Hey" I quietly respond. I desperately want to close the very small gap between. I just want him to touch my leg or my arm or something. I've no idea why I'm feeling like this or even if Hero feels it too, and it's amazing. I instinctively start to lean towards him and then quickly straighten back up as Anna suddenly appears from round the corner. Hero seems to have put some distance between us as well and I don't like it. It's not as though we were doing anything or even that we are dating because we haven't even spoken about our feelings towards each other.
"Sorry guys, I've just heard from some of the cast. They are on their way" Anna says before I see her eyeing us carefully and disappears.

Hero steps out of the jacuzzi and offers me his hand as I step out. I take it and intentionally don't let go and hold his hand a little longer to see how he would react. I see his cheeks flame and his pupils dilate as I pull my hand away. I pretend it was by accident and say "Oh...um sorry"
"Not at all" is the response I get accompanied with one of Hero's dimple showing smiles. We both walk back to the changing rooms and part ways. I step into the hot shower and can't help to imagine Hero's arms wrapped around me. Whilst filming, it was always lovely to feel so safe and secure whenever we did hug or cuddle in any kind of way. The water running done my body is a reminder of that. The fact that I had just been so close to Hero. That the previous time I was in the hot tub was filming 'After We Fell'.

Once I'm out of the shower, I find that I'm the only one on the changing room. Anna had been here when I got in the shower, but I guess she finished up and left. I change into a pair of leggings, a sports bra and an oversized sweater (this time it's not Hero's unfortunately). I brush my hair and scrap it into a bun on top of my head and then leave the changing rooms. I join Hero and Anna outside the spa and I exchange a knowing smile with Hero. Perhaps there is something between us that is just for us to know and for us to discover.
I learn that the others who are coming today, are coming around 5pm so it gives us a couple of hours to get ready and sort out our stuff. I don't plan on dressing up too much. There is no point as tomorrow is the main event when I'm going to wear a dress.

Me, Hero and Anna all enter the lift and go up to the floor with our rooms on. We haven't got any makeup or stylists coming as we can do that all ourselves. I catch Hero up just before he gets to his room and tug his arm a little so he is aware of my presence. "Hey you okay?" He asks as he sees me next to him. "Yeah I'm fine, are you?" I ask uncertainly. I'm not sure what is going on between us right now but it feels right and I want to see where this goes. It could be nothing more than that I haven't seen Hero is ages and I'm so used to filming with him that I've go so wrapped up in being with him again. Or there is something more between us that none of us knew about whilst filming. "I'm good. Do you want to come in?" I'm drawn back to reality as Hero opens his room door. I nod hoping that it is a satisfying answer. When I enter, I'm not at all surprised by the state or lack of clutter in his room. He clearly hasn't unpacked of course, if he has it was only a small amount. Hero's room is the exact same layout as mine, I peek into his closet space. As suspected his suitcases aren't open, apart from one nearest the door and his garment bags are hung up. "Do you need any help unpacking?" I ask with a smirk on my face. I'm definitely the most tidy out the two of us. The frustrating thing about Hero, is if he is away either filming, doing press; is that he doesn't unpack. I want to say he gets round to it about 2 days after arrival, but if your only stopping for a day and a night then the suitcase just becomes a mess.

Hero is standing by the windows when he finally gives me an answer. "Um sure if you want to help...I mean you don't have to!" I know he wouldn't ask for help and would suffer under his shit in silence, but where I can help I will. Chuckling, I respond with the truth as I walk into Hero's closet "You and I both know Hero, that if I don't help you, you won't unpack at all".

I open his suitcases and start to organise Hero's stuff. He allows me to put his clothing wherever I want as long as he knows where that is himself. There are some items I don't touch and leave out as either I don't know what they are or I don't know what to do with them. "I presume you don't want me to look in your garment bags that are by the door?" I ask him whilst sorting through his beloved hoodies. His garment bags where some of the first things I noticed. Knowing they probably have outfits in them, made me not want to touch them. "You can, unless of course you want to be surprised. If that is the case, don't look!" Of course he would say that, but I want to be surprised always. I just smile at him, letting him know that I won't look and we continue to work through his suitcases.

I discover that Hero has some clothing he needed to take down to laundry, to see if they Iron and press. I suggest we go down together as I have an outfit that needs a little steam. I head back to my room, grab my garment bag and meet Hero to go to the 2nd floor which has the title 'Laundry' as one of its many titles for the one floor. We take our clothing to the lady at the desk, who looks incredibly surprised to see anyone. Our outfits will be done by tomorrow morning and we will have them into for tomorrow's party. Hero makes the plan to get ready for tonight as we only have a short amount of time before people arrive.

My outfit is very simple and floaty. As probably the most extreme thing I'm going to do tonight is drink, I decided to go with something that says 'dress up casual'. It's a cream shirt with a round neck line and buttons and some cream wide leg trousers. Cream might not be the best colour for alcohol but never mind. I slip into my outfit and take the curlers out for my hair. I quickly dry off the excess water from my shower after the spa and then proceed in curling my hair. They are only soft curls and I clip back my long fringe off my face. I redo my make up and opt for a gold glitter eyeshadow and also gold heels to match. Once I'm finally ready, I leave my room and head over to Hero down the corridor. I knock a couple of times, but no avail. He much have gone down already with Anna which means the others are probably already here. I get in the lift and descend to the ground floor. "Jo!" "Hey Jo!" I'm being called by a dozen people all at once when I step out of the lift. I hug and greet everyone warmly, it's just best feeling seeing all your friends.

We all head back to the lifts and up to floor 3 to get our groove on. We enter the smaller reception room if the two and Sam asks to turn on yet disco colours for 'mood lighting'. I take a seat between Inanna and Khadijha. Once everyone is seated I hear someone blurt out  "Alright let's get this party started!"
