I'm in New York. It's been awhile.
I'm looking forward to meeting Hero before we get to the hotel. It's nice to know I'm going to have some company and I can't wait to catch up.

I've touched up my make up, so I don't look like a complete zombie. Shoved my hair in a bun on top of my head. I know it's going to warm. My hoodie is tied round my waist as I step off the plane. As suspected; warm.

Security isn't and wasn't that bad. The only trouble with taking garment bags on a flight, is that they always suspect that you have things hidden in the bottom of them. I met with my own security detail to join Hero in the back part of the airport. As usual he doesn't see me. He looking the complete opposite direction. I didn't even have to look for long. He's too tall for that. Hero was lucky whilst filming because Hardin's wardrobe of skinny jeans and T-shirt's, was a bit like Hero's everyday wear.

Now I can see him properly, Hero is still oblivious to the fact that I'm walking towards him. "Hero!" "Hero!" Well that got his attention. He smiling and I know I'm smiling at him too. I'm stifling a laugh because I know he's not going to help me with my bags that I'm struggling to carry toward him. As I'm walking I'm able to get a nice picture of what he's wearing, if I was photographer that is. Not that it matters since he's been on a flight for about 7 hours. For that reason, his hair is a bit all over the place and he will probably pull out a cap and shove it on his head later in an attempt to hide his bird's nest of his hair. He's just had it cut shorter and has clearly tried to style it somehow with his fingers. He's wearing a very pale green tracksuit. Just a hoodie and pair of joggers. Hero being Hero, I know that he probably isn't wearing a T-shirt under his hoodie. He'd rather be comfortable than cold. Of course he has his trainers on. From here I've no idea what brand they are, but this is just a normal Hero outfit that I've seen countless times.

Once I finally reach him, I off load my bags on the luggage trolley he has kindly got us to carry our many baggage. I quickly realise that I haven't said hello to him yet. I'd rather sort all my shit out first as rude as that may be. "Shit! Sorry Hero I won't be a minute" I know he's probably smiling and trying not to laugh at me as he knows what I'm like. I pull him into a hug. Hero seemed a little hesitant at first, but that was all smoothed out quickly and I feel him relax in my arms. I forgot how nice it was to give him a hug. Taking in the scent of his Ferragamo aftershave I've grown to love and I know he wears it everyday. "Hey Jo" I can feel him smiling into my hair. Oh god I missed this guy so much I didn't even realise.

We're making our way to the exit of the airport. Finally, I can't wait to get out of here and into the hotel and see Anna. "How have you been?" I turned to Hero, just as he is saying the same thing. After the short answer to discover that we are both well. I tell Hero about my new movie Moxie and a couple of other projects I've been working on. Of course he hasn't seen the movie as it's not something he would watch. I discover Hero is doing more work with Ferragamo and a few other brands. He's been working so hard since 'After' and I'm so proud of my friend. Even though we're both the same age, it's amazing how far we have both come in a few short years for our careers.

I decide on bringing up a different topic since we have now moved on from discussing our professional lives. I can see the exit and knowing we're about to get in a taxi. The lovely guys who are our security detail are taking care of our luggage in front. So the only items me and Hero are carrying are our backpacks. "So have you, you know been seeing anyone?" This isn't an awkward conversation, but it feels awkward because we haven't seen each other. We've had it many times and Hero's answer is mostly always the same and along the same sort of lines. He's trying to give me a bewildered look. But I can see the laughter tugging on his lips. I can't help but laugh myself and pretend to look serious. "You know me Jo. I've never had a girlfriend. No I've not been seeing anyone. Talked to a couple of girls. But nothing serious as ever." Yep that's Hero. Always the same story.

After a pause in our conversation, we're finally at the exit. "How about you?" His question caught me a little off guard. As with Hero, I'm just not there yet. "As if. I don't have the time to date. We have a busy line of work." We're both laughing because everything in that statement is true. Sometimes I wonder if I will be single forever.
