The Reunion ~ A Herophine Fanfiction

Hero 7

Once we've all got some drinks in us and we're all formulated into groups. I'm hanging out with the boys and Jo is with the girls. I can tell Inanna is itching to do something fun and I know Shane is too. "Why don't we all go for a swim?" I ask. "I've not been the pool on the roof on this floor and I'd like to check it out!"
"Won't it be cold?" Someone who I can't quite match their voice too because of the alcohol. "I don't think so it's probably heated" Dylan who played Noah says. "It's that kind of hotel" he chuckles.

A few of us agree to go in, some of the girls are a little more hesitant and it takes a bit of persuading to get Pia and the others just to dip their feet in. Me and couple of the boys get in the lift and go up to our rooms. We're now spread out over the 40th, 37th and 35th floors. After stopping off at the appropriate floors, I run to my room and grab my spare trunks and a towel and head back down. Our group meets outside and I see Jo sitting on one of the sun beds with Pia and Khadijha. Looks like she isn't going into tonight. However they do all have their swim stuff on.
I playfully push Sam into the pool, "What the fuck man?" He splurts out as he comes up to the surface.
Everyone is laughing, but then I feel myself being pushed and I topple backwards into the luck warm pool and scream a little. I come up for air and I see 'fucking Trevor' smirking and chuckling at me as I shake the water from my hair. "Served you right" shouts Khadijha. Again everyone is laughing at me and soon we are playfully pushing everyone that wanted to go in the pool.

I walk up to Jo, Pia and Khadijha. "Go on Jo!" I hold our my hand towards her, for her to take. She looks at me doubtfully and shakes her head. "Go on, it's warm" sighing she stands and takes my hand. "As long as you don't throw me in or anything!" Of course Jo why would I do that? "I won't" I say but I don't add I promise to the end. She doesn't seem to notice and walks with me to the pool. I walk behind her and suddenly picked her up from behind like in the scene at the New Years party. She squeals a little. "Hero-Hero what are you doing? Put me dow-!" I gently throw her into the water. She disappears and comes back up for air a couple of seconds later. "Hero what the fuck?" I laughs as she's glaring at me. "I didn't say I promise I wouldn't throw you in now did I?" Still smirking at my effort. Jo huffs and wades her way to the ladder to climb out. "To clarify it is warm" she says as she wraps a towel around her and sits on the seat, scowling in my direction.

We spend about another hour outside in the pool and chatting before a couple of us are complaining we're cold. Inanna catches me up before I head to my room and dry off and put some warm clothes on. She on the same floor as me, Jo and Anna as well as some of the production team and Khadijha. "Hey Hero" I turn as I stop outside my door. "I'm not sure what that was back there" she says to me. She has a serious look on her face and I don't need to pretend to know she's not joking with whatever is coming next. "What what was?" I ask her whilst keeping a straight face too. "With Jo!" Oh right well this can't be good. If Inanna is about to tell me that Jo has some secret boyfriend she hasn't told me about or something. I might just disappear into a hole. "I can tell you like her, like really like her. I don't why I didn't see it during filming. I guess we were all a bit busy. If there's something you want to tell her, don't wait?" I'm shocked and a little speechless. "I-I-um thank you" is what I say to her. She smiles and walks off to her room, but before actually going inside she turns to me "I mean it Hero, don't wait around. But if I'm wrong and you don't like her like that then that's also cool!"

Signing I step into my room and close the door. I learn against it for a few minutes. What the fuck am I supposed to do now everyone here and more people coming tomorrow? I can't have a minute alone with Jo, unless I went to her room or something. Trying to distract my mind from what Inanna said I decide on phoning Felix whilst I change. "Yo what's up man?"
"Nothing much bro, you?"
"Nah not a lot just hanging out with some of girls"
"I've just been for a swim" I've no idea why I'm even telling Felix this because he doesn't really bother in asking about what goes on when I'm filming or whatever. "H you know it's like 11 at night right?"
"Yeah I know and I also think I might like someone" I've definitely said that before, but not like I mean it like I do now. "Who man?"
"Jo"
"Who?"
"You know Jo, the girl I filmed with"
"Oh the Australian girl. She cute and you guys are friends right?"
"Yeah that's her and yes we're friends but I think maybe I'm starting to like her you know?"
"Yeah I get it man. But what are you gonna do about it?"
"I don't know" I sigh because I really don't know. Felix knows me well enough to know that I'm not good at talking about my feelings to anyone. I'm always worried there is like a press spy or something and they can hear everything.
"I've got to go bro, but let me know when you've done whatever you need to do yeah?" He says into the speaker.
"Sure man. Speak later" I say half heartedly because I know I won't speak to anyone for like another 2 days. "Alright safe bro"
"Safe bro" and I hang up. Not that that was a very productive conversation but I like being able to talk to someone. I know I can trust Felix unlike some of my other friends who are more active on social media and things.

I'm changed into the plain T-shirt and joggers. The hotel is warm enough that I don't need a jumper or hoodie. I head out to the lift and down to floor 3 and into the reception room. There is only about 6 of us in there. Anna is in what looks like a deep conversation with Khadijha and Pia, so I don't want to disturb them. I walk over and take a seat next to Tessa's childhood best friend Dylan and Swen is next to him on the other side. "Hey guys" there are a few shots lined up in front of them and Dylan slides me one across the bar. "Drink up" he says without even giving me a side glance. "What's up?" We're not the kind of group to ever fall out. Yes we have our disagreements but we always laugh it off. "Hero, is there something going to between you and Jo?" Swen asks me. "No nothing" I tell him. It's true there isn't. "Well it didn't look like it, when you picked her up and deposited her on the pool over anyone else!" He's right I could have chosen anyone but I chose Jo. "She's a little shaken up and confused as to why you did it" he continues. His words catch my attention. I leave the shot I haven't touched on the bar and leave the room. I enter the lift and up to floor 40, where I stride over to Jo's room. If I'm going to do this, it's now or never.
