I say a quiet "Thanks" I feel like sinking into a small hole from embarrassment. Hero is looking at me with an 'oh shit' expression and it makes me want to fold away even more. Luckily it's only the 3 of us. Otherwise it would probably be a different story.

We step out of the lift and into the overly long corridor. As we took the middle lift from the ground floor, I want to assume that the other two lifts stop in the middle of either side of the corridor. The sign that gives the room numbers a direction is no help. I can see that the room next to it is labelled 293. They aren't in any order that is familiar to me like odds and evens or something.
"What room are you in Anna?" Hero asks. I can tell by his voice that's he's trying to distract anyone from the conversation about his hoodie I'm wearing. I'm also aware of how he was looking at me when he caught me wearing it. Like I was the only woman in the world.
"209" is Anna's room.
It's on the right side of the corridor. It seems as though me and Hero are down the left. I can't help but feel happy that we are close together. Normally we have hotel rooms next to each other anyway. But I've never thought about it the way I am now.

"I think we should all freshen up. Take a nap if you want. Meet back in the lobby in an hour for our spa date?" Anna says directing her words more to me than to Hero. "Agreed" I hear Hero reply. Anna is already making her way down in the opposite direction. I look around at the doors, hoping my room is near by but I can't see it. "It's looks like the rooms are in some weird order." I say without looking at Hero. We both start to walk down our section of the corridor. Hero just looks confused as ever looking at these room numbers. He stops a little way back before I find my own room. It's only 3 doors down from his, on the opposite side off the corridor. "Hero!" I call to him. He looks up and his semi permanent small smile appears. "This is mine" I say to him. "Okay Jo" he replies before unlocking his door and going into his room. I watch him disappear before opening up the door to my own room.

I'm a bit speechless. The room is beyond anything I imagined. I didn't even look at photos of the rooms on the internet because I wanted to be surprised. Surprise right now is an understatement. The bed is so big and views from the floor to ceiling windows are amazing. A beautiful picturesque landscape of New York City at my feet. I peep into the small closet to see that my bags have been brought up. My garment bags hold my party outfits for the next few days. I'm thankful that I've mostly chosen outfits that won't really get creased. But I might take one or two of them down to be pressed anyway. The bathroom is something like off a picture on Pinterest. The bath is tucked against a window, so you are able to get incredible views of the city, whilst relaxing in the tub. Even though it's just me, I have a double sink. There's a rack underneath with some new looking pristine white towels. I take one as I know I may need it later for the spa. I have a feeling that Hero will be asleep and there is no point going to see him for no reason. I just hope he wakes up in time.

I decide to unpack my bags before going to the spa. I know I should probably maybe sleep. But if I do, I will be awake at an unnecessary time. I put all of my clothes away in the large closet space. I put my party outfits that don't require pressing on the hanging rail. The ones that do, I leave near the entrance to remind myself that it's something I need to do. I've definitely over packed, but I always do. In case I want to take pictures or there is just something I need a different item of clothing for. I'm glad I brought swimwear too because of the pool and spa. It's a bikini and I would normally be self conscious about wearing it in front of a lot of people. As it's just Hero and Anna it's fine. I mean I've done 3 days swimming in a lake with Hero and all sorts as well as jacuzzi scenes. It's nothing that I've not shown off before for gods sake.

I place everything I need for the spa in my rucksack. I can't help but gaze out of the windows to see the building rooftops of New York. I'm so lucky to be here and see what I'm seeing.
It's already been an hour and it's flown by. I grab my bag and leave my room. Hero isn't out of his room yet, but I see Anna walking down towards the lift from her end. I make my way over to her. "I guess Hero isn't ready?" She asks. I chuckle. In my thoughts, I don't even think Hero is awake. He looked pretty tired earlier. I tell Anna I'll go and get him and she should wait by the lift. I wander back to Hero's door. I knock once. Nothing and I don't hear anything either. Knock knock. "Hero?" Still nothing. Knock knock. "Hero are you okay?" Again nothing. Knock knock. "Hero!"
