The Reunion ~ A Herophine Fanfiction

As much as I love the guy. I wish he would stop staring. I don't know how long I've been stood here, but Hero hasn't stopped gawping at me. I clear my throat, slightly worried he's gone into shock or something. Hero jumps slightly and he lifts his eyes to my face. "Um...er...". He's clearly forgotten how to speak and is trying to say something but doesn't seem to be able to get the words out. I see heat rise in his cheeks, embarrassed much. I smile at him, to let him know that everything is fine."You look amazing" he finally gets out. I feel the heat rise in my own cheeks as I quickly say "thanks" to him.

I walk over to Hero, slightly concerned that we will be late if we don't start to head downstairs. "Shall we go down?" I speak up. Hero nods and we make our way to the lift and down to meet everyone. Once we get there, me and Hero quickly separate and indulge ourselves in making conversation. I catch Hero embracing our lovely Louise and see him greet Candice and Charlie. "Your dinner is served!" A hotel staff member appears through the doors. Our group pile in to the dinning room and I glance round at all the circular tables. I find my name and place near to the front and discover that I'm not with Hero. I'm seated with my back to him and I'm actually quite pleased about it, otherwise he would probably be fucking me with his eyes. I wrote on the little card which food option I went; the posh sounding pasta dish and order a glass off wine for my drink. Castille gets up and moves to the front and gives a little speech as our drinks are brought round. She basically acknowledges how proud she is of us all and she says she hopes that we all have a brilliant time being back together,  the new cast and the old.

We all enjoy our food and make small talk before moving upstairs to the two reception rooms that we have hired out. When I get there, we're all crowded up to the doors and they don't seem to be letting us through. Chance comes up to me and stays next to me as we're told that they are announcing us in. Great. Certain people are let through and we're left with long term and main cast members as well as key production and behind the scenes people. I feel a soft touch on the back of my arm and turn around. Hero is standing behind me "Hey" I feel his breath on my ear as he whispers. "Hey" I say a little louder because of all the noise. "So I think we're probably gonna go in together or around the same time. Mind if I stick around?" I shake my head and sneakily snake my arm through his. It's not an overly romantic gesture by any means and we've linked arms before so I'm hoping no one will think much of it.

People file into the room as their names are called and we form a small random line outside the room. I've still got my arm linked with Hero, afraid I'll lose him which I know I won't because he's too tall for that. By the time it's gets to us, we're the last ones waiting after Anna goes in.
"Please join me in celebrating, the very talented: Hero Fiennes-Tiffin and Josephine Langford who were cast as our leads; Hardin Scott and Tessa Young!"
"Ready!" Hero whispers to me. I give his arm a squeeze before telling him that I'm ready. It's now or never.
When we enter, there are a few flashes of cameras and lots of clapping. It's nothing like a press event and I'm beyond pleased about that. Someone take us to some seats next to Anna and I can't stop smiling in the darkened room. I notice a large screen up at the front of the room, welcoming us to this party. Castille stands up and gives a speech of course. Reiterating what she said before dinner and that we should all just enjoy ourselves. I plan on doing just that. Inanna, Khadijha and Swen then get up on the small raised stage to talk music and games for this evening. Honestly I couldn't have done what Swen did with the fan edits and the music, but maybe that's before I don't want to in any way watch endless videos of myself kissing Hero when I can just do it in the bedroom.

After Khad tells us that we will be doing games a little later, everyone starts to move around and I know I need to talk to people and socialise. Hero has disappeared, but I spot him near the bar with a pint of beer in hand. I chat to dear Anna and a few others before getting myself a drink. It's only more wine.
The hour or so passes quickly and it doesn't seem long until Inanna's voice comes over the crowd. "Okay everyone! Now that you've all got a some drinks in you, it's time to play. Grab a chair and sit in a circle around the room. Cast members towards the front please!". I pick up the nearest chair I can find and move towards the centre of the room. I put my chair next to Shane and I'm joined by our Noah on my other side. We haven't seen each other much or had the chance to chat, so we exchange a couple of words between us. Hero is just across the circle from me and I catch his eye and return the shy smile he is giving me. I love that man, I really do. I turn my attention to Inanna who seems to be the one who has produced the game. "So, the aim of this is to see who has a good memory". Right? Okay this should be interesting.
