The Reunion ~ A Herophine Fanfiction

I'm awoken by the fact that I feel cold. I'm still covered by Jo's blanket but not nearly as much as I was when I fell asleep. She seems to have taken possession of the majority of it and turned over. Turned away from me.
I take a glance at the windows, to see that it's already light which makes me wonder what the time is. I reach over and look at my phone on the bedside table. 6:45am it read. It's still early and I'm never up this early unless I have to be. Turning over, I'm met with a mass of blonde hair across the pillow next to me. I don't need to wake Jo up because we don't have any commitments of any kind until this afternoon and evening and I'm too awake to try and go back to sleep. I'm complimenting going back to my room and changing and going to find the gym or maybe go for a swim. That's when I'd probably leave Jo a note or text just to say where I was going if she woke up before I returned. I get up as quietly and carefully as I can so that I don't disturb Jo, I use the bathroom and scribble a note on the back of an old receipt I randomly found in my pocket.

I woke up early and couldn't sleep so I've gone to the gym.
That's if of course you've woken up before I get back.

I place the note on her side of the bed next to her phone where she will find it. I take peek at her adorable sleeping face. Her face in scrunched into a small frown but her lips are turned at the end, like she's smiling and she knows I'm there. I smile to myself, thinking of last night when her lips were on mine. Hopefully that will happen again today.
Before leaving her room, I take the spare keys from the tv stand and put them in my pocket in case I return and Jo isn't awake to open the door and I know she won't mind me borrowing them. Jo always used to give me her spare trailer key when we were filming because we were usually parked next to each other and she trusted me to be around if she ever misplaced hers. Taking the 5 steps to my room, I open my door and go in. It looks just the same as it did yesterday, nothing moved of course. I throw a towel, a spare change of clothes and some gym clothes that I spontaneously brought with me, on the rare just in case I went to the gym like this morning, into my bag. After heading to the bathroom, I also throw in my shampoo and hair brush and tooth brush. After taking my T-shirt off, I change into a hoodie and shove a cap on my head to hide the disheveled mess that is my hair.

The lift takes me to the second floor and I walk in the opposite direction to the spa and go towards the gym. It's a very quiet morning and I take a locker key from the very tired looking guy at the desk even though it's just going to be me in there. I think.
I make my way to the changing rooms and change out into my gym gear and grab my towel before heading inside. I made an attempt at fixing my hair but it was just sticking out everywhere and I'm just going to wait until I shower after my workout.
I spend about half an hour in there using a punch bag and doing a little bit of weights. I don't want to be away for too long in case Jo wakes up. It's around 8 when I come out of the changing rooms after getting showered and changed and return to the lift and up to our floor.

I drop my stuff off in my room and make sure I look some what put together before heading back over to Jo's room. I quietly turn the key in the lock and open the door. Jo's is still curled up under her sheets and fast asleep. I'm only stood in the doorway and decide on going back downstairs to the breakfast bar and getting her a morning coffee. As I'm closing the door, I hear the sound of someone walking down the corridor. Fuck. I look towards the sound and see Anna making her way towards the lift. She's eyeing me carefully and she isn't smiling. Oh crap I forgot about last night, I bet she's pissed at me. "Morning" I gave her a small smile as I start to walk towards her. "Hero what are you doing?" Anna asks before stepping into the lift when I reach her. "I stayed with Jo last night"
"What?" Anna looks confused, eyebrows raised. "Well I went to Jo's room to apologise an-"
"So you should!" Anna cuts me off before I can continue.
"To apologise for what happened with the pool and I guess it finally brought out our true feelings for each other" I say truthfully. I know Jo won't mind me telling Anna because we really trust her and if we were to tell anyone about us maybe being a couple, we would tell Anna.
"Well what happened?" Anna pressed as we reach the 3rd floor. I step out, but Anna stays put. She giving me a questioning look and I've no doubt she's wondering what I'm doing. "I'm getting Jo a coffee" I clarify for her and smile because I didn't even answer her question as to what happened. Anna nods before pressing another button and the doors close. Clearly she forgot that she even asked me as well.
