Eren and Levi lazily relaxed in Levi's room–well, their room right now. Eren was scrolling through his phone while Levi secretly texted Hange.

"Levi, you're being too risky! With Petra, that was a freebie. The fox hole has taken notice of Chester's absence. And the poor Mikasa girl has never hurt anyone." Hange chastized.

Levi barely felt any guilt. He simply replied, "You talk as if you haven't performed human experimentation before."

"On low-life criminals that no one will miss."

Levi didn't reply, so Hange warned, "Please, think things through before you end up making a mistake I can't fix. You're lucky I caught Mikasa the other day stalking you. Don't get caught up with the police."

"Fine."

Levi turned his phone off and placed it in his pocket. He got up and sat next to Eren on the bed tiredly. There was a comfortable silence between them before Eren spoke up.

"Hey, I haven't seen a post from Marco in a few days. I'm worried," Eren mentioned, making Levi jump up.

"Hey, um, it's best not to worry about it." Levi slowly took the phone from Eren and laid it on the bedside table next to him.

Eren raised a brow and chuckled, "Okay? Do you want to do something?"

"Well," Levi thought, "Maybe-"

Crack! A thunderbolt flashed and struck the ground. Eren felt a terribly familiar feeling writhe down his arms. His right arm jolted violently. Eren ducked his head in shame as his left arm held more spasms back. Levi noticed this and immediately stopped him.

"Don't do that to yourself," Levi said, folding his hand in Eren's twitching fingers.

Eren looked away shamefully, mumbling, "I hate this damn twitch." The brunette's neck jerked his head back a little, but it was very noticeable. Eren became more frustrated as he tried to hold the tics back, but that only caused more to appear. The thunder rumbling outside was only triggering them more.

"Eren," Levi's voice called, "Look at me."

Eren's frantic eyes froze to his friend's stormy irises. Yes, they were a storm, but they were quiet and stable. They were better than what was outside.

"There you go. Now, try and focus on me, kinda like if you were daydreaming." Levi encouraged, placing his other hand in Eren's right hand to keep him from holding himself down again. "Where are you in your dream?"

Levi's pupils expanded while looking at Eren's features. The brunette had gone still, being tranced by Levi's stare. As thunder boomed outside and rain tapped on the roof, the two gazed into each other minds, both sharing a dream. To Eren, the trance made him think of the rain pouring from the sky, freezing for a moment before reversing back up. The satisfying image of reversed rain spiraling in Ackerman's irises made him calm. Levi had the same effect, noticing the greenish-gold petals of sunflowers circling towards Eren's pupils.

"Reverse falling," Eren answered. "Not exactly flying–just falling backward."

Levi smiled lightly before subconsciously leaning closer to Eren. They let their foreheads press together in a calming way. By the time they both woke up from the trance, the storm had stopped, and it was far later in the day. They were calmly lying next to each other, nothing romantic, but something along the lines of it. They were silent until Eren decided to speak up.

"Where'd you learn that? The trance thing?"

Levi's voice was hushed as to not disturb the tranquil state they were in. "I just knew what you needed at the moment. I didn't learn it–I just did it."

There was an intense bond between the two, something Eren couldn't deny; however, what it really meant to the brunette, he had yet to decide.

4 Days Until The Red Room

Though Eren didn't want to go to school, Levi insisted he did as to not fall behind on his school work. Hesitantly, the teen stepped out of Levi's car and slung his backpack over his shoulders. He already knew the conversations that were about to happen. It was something he had lost track of between his dad and Mikasa–Petra's disappearance.

Levi and Eren walked towards the front doors of the school, passing a few of Eren's friends in the process. Of course, the raven got jealous, but he trusted Eren knew who he belonged to. It wasn't that Levi didn't trust Eren–he just didn't trust everybody else.

They made their way to the cafeteria to grab breakfast. Instead of sitting with his friends like usual, Levi trailed Eren to an empty table. The raven thought it was just going to be them alone, but unless Levi burns the school down, that's never gonna happen. Armin came over and sat next to Eren, followed by Hange and Erwin. And as Levi thought that it couldn't get any worse, the universe sent Sasha their way.

"Hey, guys!" Eren greeted cheerfully. "Strange to see you sit with me."

Hange chirped, "Well, we are friends of Levi!"

The raven rolled his eyes and casually ate. Sasha shyly added in, "I know we don't talk a lot, but I was hoping we could be friends."

Levi bit his lip to hold back a few insults bubbling inside of him. It only got worse as Eren smiled and said, "Yeah, I'd like that, Sasha."

"I'm gonna make sure you never say that name again," Levi thought to himself. He glanced over at the girl who flirtatiously batted her eyelashes at him. Levi raised his brow smugly before thinking again, "No, no, no. If there's one thing about Eren, he's kind of dense to romance. Well, romance without a little lust."

Levi knew he was pushing boundaries and risking a lot, but he let his hand slip under the table to Eren's thigh. He barely put any pressure, but Eren quickly noticed. The brunette froze as his cheeks began to flush, earning a small chuckle from Levi. Eren shot the other boy a look that asked, "What do you think you're doing."

Levi leaned into Eren's ear and teased, "So, do you not like it?"

As the raven slowly started to pull his hand away, Eren stopped him. Embarrassment painted all over his face, he scooted a little closer. Thankfully, only Sasha seemed to notice the interaction between the two. She sadly looked away, feeling defeated. The girl wasn't going to lie–Eren wasn't bad-looking. He was really charismatic and was an idol student among teachers.  She wasn't the only girl to think so, but she was the only one brave enough to try and get close to him.

The table of teens chatted away, until Sasha, wanting to catch up with Eren, wondered, "Hey, Eren, how's your dad been?"

Levi mentally laughed, "That might be a touchy subject. Especially, in a few hours when Carla notices."
