It's inexplicable how time flies when you're preoccupied. Planning a family vacation abroad was exciting as well as nerve-wracking, especially when the said family hadn't done any traveling as a group, in forever – except for their yearly, customary visits to the home town in Phuket, during the Songkran season.

As it happened, P'Tae's two private jets couldn't accommodate the whole family because the members of the group kept increasing magically – P'Tae has a big extended family, even though they all didn't live together. Originally, I planned to take, Mae Vanida, nong Dara, Yaai, Naa Achara, Brea, and of course our live-in maids including Jae Kulap. To my mild amusement, Jazz pouted like a sulky kid and made a face when he heard that the rest of us are going on a trip. Then of course I didn't have the heart to leave my darling P'Jazz and his family behind. Hearing about the vacation from Jazz, a few more of P'Tae's cousins, uncles, and aunts wanted to join. How can I refuse? They are my husband's relatives and now, mine too. By the time of booking accommodations and plane tickets, the number of vacationers had risen to twenty-four.

Instead of P'Tae's two private jets, we ended up reserving the whole first-class cabin of a commercial flight.

P'Tae kept shooting me amused looks as if he already knew this would have happened when his family got involved. True, it's on me. It was me who turned our private trip into a family thing. But I don't regret it. Seeing how much fun they are having, I almost forgot the effort it took to plan the whole thing. Even Naa Achara seemed to come out of her shell and spend some time with the family. She even smiled when Lung Joe, one of P'Tae's uncles, got drunk at dinner, climbed on top of the dining table of the rented villa, and sang English old hits off-key with a dreadful accent.

All the efforts were made up for when Mae Vanida hugged me with tears and thanked me for planning the trip. She said repeatedly that I'm the best thing that'd happened to the Kreepolrerk family. It made me blush when she threatened to bodily harm P'Tae if he would ever to break my heart. Her own son! I felt warm and happy. Because it wasn't only Kreepolrerks that gained by this marriage. It was my gain too. I love them, all of them and I consider them as my family. I would do anything to make them happy and keep them bound together.

The China trip was supposed to be my birthday gift from P'Tae. As everything P'Tae does there was nothing mundane about it too. Like his every present, China too was a grand gesture.

The tour included every important aspect of the country. Since we didn't want to rush the tour, the visit was decided to be two weeks long. Fortunately, it's the end of the year and the launch was successfully completed P'Tae was able to take two weeks off. Not that he still got video meetings and calls almost every night. The most important thing was he didn't let his work interrupt the family bonding time. Mae was happy and I too was contented about the attention he paid to the family.
