"It's your mother, Li Lai."

I gestured at the pamphlet in his hand.

A small gasp left his lips and he sagged against my body. With a soft smile blossoming over my lips I supported his weight easily. Sometimes Tee can be such a child.

"She's an opera singer?" He mumbled.

I simply patted his head. It looks like he's in shock.

"She's an opera singer." He finally sighed, crunching my shirt with his gloved fists.

I let him cling to me, to take his time to sink in the idea, and compose.

"But P'Tae...." He sighed against my chest. "How did you...?"

"How did I find her?" I tried to put a little distance between us so that I can look at his face but he's still clinging to me for support. So I kept on talking. "It was easier than I thought. I was wondering what I should do for your birthday. Then I remembered what you told me in Bali, about wanting to visit China. So I hired a private investigator. I didn't have much hope but he easily found this place." I slowly explained. I thought it would take months to locate Tee's mom. I was surprised that my informant could do it sooner. Gave me the opportunity to make one of Tee's dreams come true, especially on his nineteenth birthday, the first one he spent with me and the fellow Kreepolrerks. "And of course P'Kamnan helped a lot." I tried to get him to look at me by rubbing my palm over his back in soothing circles. A shudder ran down his body. It's amazing how responsive he is to my touch. And I'm not proud that it made me a little smug and satisfied that I'm the one he relies on most.

"Oh, P'Tae...." He finally pushed away from my arms and gazed up at me. His doe eyes shining with unshed tears, face flushed pink with excessive emotions, he looked utterly breathtaking. His innocence and beauty never failed to speak to my possessive, protective side.

"Why are you crying, nong." I smiled, brushing my thumb along his cheekbone to wipe away one lone tear that escaped his eye socket.

He laughed through tears and shook his head.
