I gave a blank look. Am I supposed to know who this Pavel guy is?
"Don't you know him?" Jazz came closer and gazed up at the picture on the wall. "The champion Ice Skater? Olympic bronze medalist in figure skating?" His voice is full of admiration.
I directed my eyes up to look at the so-called famous skater again but still came up blank. I really don't know who he is.
"Of course, you're not into sports so there's no way you would know Pavel," Jazz draped an arm around my shoulder. "He's a famous ice skater in Russia. Pavel is practically a celebrity. That's why we're lucky to have him represent Kreepolrerk gaming."
"Really?" I dropped my eyes back on Jazz. He nodded, smiling.
"Our biggest, most famous superhero game 'Skater the Slayer' is actually based on Pavel's character."
"Wow!" I stared up at the portrait of Pavel in awe. "He looks magnificent!"
"Would you like to try our game, nong?" Jazz asked in enthusiasm. "It's still at the developing stage but you can try the trial version."
"Can I, P'Jazz?" I widened my eyes. "I've played lots of online games but never come across "Skater the Slayer before."
"That's because up till now it was only based in Russia and other eastern European countries. Ice skating cannot be related to all the countries in the world in the same context. Some nationalities may not be familiar with the concept of ice skating. But we're currently making amendments and developing it to suit the other regions too..." Jazz explained.
He started guiding me out of P'Tae's office.
I looked back to see if P'Tae is coming with us but he's just standing in front of the floor-length glass window, with his back to us and gazing out with his hands down his trouser pockets as if he's in deep thoughts.
Jazz turned me away from him and escorted me to his glass partitioned office.
"You can use my PA's computer. He doesn't work on Saturday." He switched on the machine and it hummed into life. I glanced at P'Tae's office yet again through the glass wall once more before focusing my eyes on the computer screen. "Tae tells me that you are a game enthusiast," I watched him loading the game. "Tell us your opinion. It would be good research. We still haven't launched it here. Like I said earlier, this is just a trial version."
Jazz adjusted a few things and stepped back from me, letting me grasp the working of the game.
"I'll be at Tae's office," He said walking away. "Call me if you need anything."
"Okay, Phi..." I murmured, already eying the computer screen with interest.
