3rd Person POV :

It has been two days since the ball, and the things had got back to their normal routine.

(Y/N) was sitting in her common room, staring into the fire sleepily. She suddenly felt a head on her lap. She smiled and greeted him.

"Hey Al-" But looking down at the wide grey eyes, she realized she had addressed the person wrongly.

"Oh...Hey Ced!" But Cedric had already frowned and tried to hide it from (Y/N). He did succeed in it, as she was still surprised by his sudden appearance. But even if he hid his frown, she found something in his face which told her that he wasn't in a good mood.

"Something wrong?"

But when he was about to answer she suddenly caught Alex's eye, who had just entered the common room, and grinned at him. Cedric was furious. He had already something that was upsetting him and now his best friend was ignoring him. He sat up and huffed. By this time, she had already turned her attention towards him, after waving to Alex.

"Hey...I'm sorry! Tell me now." He wondered about how she could read him like an open book. He sighed.

"I and Cho had a falling out." (Y/N) felt genuine concern and sadness for her best friend.

"Oh...I'm sorry. What happened?"

"It wasn't anything big. But we did have our first fight."

"You know, Ced, first fights are something to be cherished in a relationship. Everything will fall in place soon. Fights make relationships stronger, if you just understand each other and trust your partner. "

Cedric grinned. "When did you become a relationship expert?"

"I am not called the 'cupid of Hogwarts' for no reason!"

"Oh please! No one calls you that."

"Just because you don't know doesn't mean they don't" she said, huffing and stuck out her tongue at him.

Cedric laughed and butterflies erupted in her stomach. She smiled.

"You better go apologize to her." She said and he nodded.

He got up and left, not before kissing her cheek. She touched the skin where his lips met, and felt it heated. She was sure she would be blushing by now. This wasn't something unusual. He had kissed her cheek a few times before in the past years. But this felt special. Maybe because she was in love with him?

"Looks like someone is smitten" She heard someone sing.

She looked to her left and saw that Alex had taken seat in the couch, already.

"Shut it" she grumbled while he just laughed and she bit the inside of her cheek to hide her smile.

"Will you ever tell him?"

"I don't think so."

"Why?"

"He's with Cho, you nutcase!"

"I know that, you nutjob! I am asking, if ever they break up, will you tell him then?"

"As much as I love you, they aren't going to break up Al!"

"It's just a mere thought?"

"Go to sleep, Al. Goodnight!"
