(A/N : Hey guys!
Here is an update after centuries! Hope you like it! I would appreciate feedbacks! )
3rd Person POV:
It was a bright morning and (Y/N) woke up late. It was Hogsmeade weekend and she had the date with Roger Davies that day. They had decided to meet up, at 12, for lunch in the Three Broomsticks.
It was her first ever date and she wanted it to count. She wanted to make it special even when it wasn't with the one that she wanted it to be with. Today was her day. A day she had to have fun. Nodding at herself for the well thought out decision, she started getting ready.
She showered and put on a quick drying spell. She found the perfect dress. Nothing too fancy but still eye-appealing. Getting ready, she left her dorm.
She could see Alex and Cedric sitting together in the common room. They both looked up once they saw her. Alex smiled at her while Cedric stared at her in awe. She had some very light make up on, with a light stroke of eyeliner and an even lighter shade of lipstick.
He had always found her beautiful, but today, she looked pretty! Prettier than ever! And then he suddenly remembered the date she had and anything didn't seem pretty anymore.
His mind moved to the little scene in his dorm last night.
"You Know, I always thought you and (Y/N) were going to end up together!" Dalton wondered aloud.
Alex wasn't sure if Dalton was talking about him or Cedric.
"Me?" he asked to which he got a little nod as a response from Dalton. He just gave him a smile, not being in a mood to explain about his best friend being in love with her other best friend.
Cedric now wondered if Alex was as unhappy as him, at her going on a date with Davies. He also wondered if Alex was disappointed, was it as a friend or something more than that.
"So? Where are you going to meet Davies?" Alex asked (Y/N), snapping Cedric out of his thoughts. He seemed to have a habit of always bringing people out of their daze.
"In the Three Broomsticks" She shrugged
Alex tsked and she raised her eyebrows. "What?"
"I thought that guy had better manners. Not even picking her up on the first date, is he?"
"We decided on meeting there" she shrugged again.
Cedric didn't speak anything but the fact that Alex wasn't entirely satisfied with her date was oddly satisfying for him.
But they were surprised by a Davies with a bouquet of flowers in the entrance when they exited the common room.
"What are you doing here?" She asked, surprised at his sudden appearance.
"Picking my date up" He shrugged nonchalantly "What kind of gentleman will I be if I let you walk alone on our first date?"
This actually came as a surprise to her that she smiled very genuinely at him, which weirdly infuriated Cedric. If just a kid could have read his mind for the past couple of minutes, it could have guessed that he was in love with her. But this dumb idiot was oblivious as hell.
So he let her walk away with Davies, his eyes and heart following her.

"You are looking beautiful!" Davies' voice brought (Y/N) out of her trance. They were walking towards the Three Broomsticks. Even the weather was so good, and nothing could spoil (Y/N)'s mood.
As they got in and had lunch, they talked about themselves. Davies was such a fun person to talk to, that (Y/N) was sad about not befriending him earlier. He had a great sense of humor and that Ravenclaw sarcasm, and she found herself enjoying every minute of his company.
Roger insisted on paying for the lunch. (Y/N) agreed to it only when he let her pay for the butterbeer and treat him in Honeydukes. As they were sipping on the butterbeer, Roger's thumb suddenly found station above her lips and she was staring at him awkwardly. She was ready for a date but not physical contact.
"Foam" he muttered quietly.
Her awkwardness increased when he began leaning in. Never being one to not voice her opinion, she was about to ask him what the hell he was doing, but he bet her to it asking her to play along.
From the time she spent with him and from the words about him in the castle, she knew he was a gentleman and she could trust him. But she still muttered "Try something and you'll be dead!"
He chuckled lightly, whispering at her to trust him. She closed her eyes and felt him move even closer. But after few seconds, she felt him move away and she let out a sigh of relief and opened her eyes, only to catch someone storming away angrily.
"What was all that about?!" she exclaimed at him, as he was leaning on the chair and sitting very casually.
"Diggory" he shrugged, leaving her to stare at him like a deer caught in headlights.
