"Is that Pettigrew?" she asked looking at the man beside Remus.
"He is" Remus nodded solemnly.
"You guys go" Hermione interrupted, nodding towards a bit more private space and they both gave her a smile in response.
"I missed you Padfoot!" (Y/N) told him, once they were out of the others' earshot.
"I am surprised you still remember me, to be honest!"
"Mom made sure I never forgot you" she smiled.
"Typical Cass" Sirius smiled too.
"Yeah. She believed in your innocence strongly" (Y/N) supplied.
Sirius sighed wistfully. "I should have been there. For you both. I should've seen you grow up. I should have sent you off to school every year along with your mother."
And then, a few tears leaked out of his eyes.
"James and Lily should have been there. They should have been there, along with me and your mother, sending off Harry. Your Dad too. Brave man! He should have been there for us!"
(Y/N) too, could feel the tears grazing her cheeks.
"It was all in the past Sirius. We can't change anything! Let it go. You are here now! Pettigrew is alive! Your innocence is going to be proven. We are gonna be a happy family from now!"
And Sirius smiled. A wide, genuine one!
But fate didn't want it to last. Hence raised the full moon.
(Y/N) and Sirius ran towards the others hearing their panicked cries. Remus was transforming.
"Didn't he take his potion tonight!?" (Y/N) exclaimed.
"No!" Hermione replied.
Sirius was trying to get them to escape, and that is when she noticed it. Pettigrew had taken hold of Remus' wand.
"Don't you dare!" she raised her wand against him, but he was faster.
A spell hit her even before she could realise it, and then all she could see was darkness.

(Y/N) opened her heavy eyes. The light blinded her. Everything was white.
"Am I in heaven?" she mumbled.
It took her a minute to see properly. And she realised she was in the hospital wing.
Only then did she remember the events of the night. She turned to her side and found Harry, Ron and Hermione too. They were awake and looking at her.
"Sirius-" She whispered.
"-Is safe" Hermione replied equally quiet.
"Thank god!" she sighed and tried to sit down.
But a wave of light-headedness hit her and she blacked out again.

"I don't know where she is! She ran out and now she hasn't come yet!" Cedric exclaimed, worried.
"She needs her space and it will be better if you don't come with me." Alex told him, as they walked down the corridor in search of (Y/N).
"But I want to know if she is okay!"
"But you are the reason she is not okay!" Alex exclaimed harshly.
Cedric looked at him stunned. Alex sighed.
"I am sorry! But she needs you away right now mate." He told Cedric, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder.
But before Cedric could respond, they heard voices.
"Yes. He escaped. The kids are in the hospital wing. Looks like (Y/L/N) involved herself this time, along with the usual three." McGonagall was speaking to someone.
Cedric and Alex shared a single look, before they started sprinting to the hospital wing.
