I walk away from him immediately, tears welling in my eyes. "What is wrong with you, Loki?"

"There is nothing wrong with me, you insolent little girl." He snarls at me, following me to the center of the room.

"Don't you dare call me a little girl! I am not stupid or helpless!" I shout back at him.

Natasha begins pacing towards us, but Steve holds her back. They are watching and waiting, listening for an explanation of what just happened.

"But you are reckless and weak, and it was my misjudgment to assume you would know what to do. If I know what's best for you, I should put you back in that cage myself." He says, gripping my arm and leading me back towards the room with the cage. Thor steps in front of him, blocking us. He stands up tall, trying to intimidate his older brother.

"You don't know what's best for me! You don't even know me!" I struggle to get out of his grip as he has some dumb alpha staring contest with his older brother. I swear, I'm going to have bruises from this. He releases me, tossing me onto a chair behind me. He leans over me, resting a hand on either armrest and holding his face close to mine. "I perhaps know you better that you know yourself. Believe me."

"Why should I?" I scoff at him. "You want me to believe you? Trust you? After that stunt you just pulled... go fuck yourself, Loki." I say, staring hard right back at him.

Tony steps aside to make a call on his phone. Thor sets his hammer down on the ground next to him and begins to reach out to Loki to back him up away from me. Loki shakes him off, then grabs me by the color of my shirt and holds me under him on the ground.

"Loki, stop it!" Thor booms.

Loki raises his hand up, warding him off. "If you come any closer, she dies, right here right now!" Loki screams to the room. They hesitate, panicked and looking to Tony. He nods, indicating that Banner is on his way.

Loki has me pinned to the ground by my neck and throttles my waist with his legs. He's literally sitting on top of me.

"get the fuck off of me!" I try to tell him.

"No."

"Loki, I swear to god, get off-"

"And what god do you swear to, hmm? Certainly not me." He lowers down, growling the words in my ear.

"I'll swear to any god you want me to if you get the fuck off me!" I strain to say, gritting my teeth. His hand remains wrapped around my vocal chords.

"Swear you will do as I say, when I say it." He demands.

"F-fine! Now Stop ch-choking m-me..." I struggle to say.

"Loki, that's enough!" Thor warns him before grabbing him and tossing him across the room. Natasha and Steve relax, and I sit up rubbing my neck. Natasha rushes to my side, supporting my back. "I thought mother had taught you to treat women better than that, Loki." He sneers, coming to my other side to help me up.

"Why do you hate me so much?" I ask Loki.

"Hate you? I do not hate you." He corrects me.

"Ok, let me rephrase. Why do you strongly disagree with my existence?" I sass him.

"You do not understand the severity of your position. If you only knew-"

"TELL ME!" I shout, so sick of his bullshit. Thor raises his eyebrows at me, seeing through the anger and straight to my pain. Everyone is looking at me, surprised that I just screamed at the god of mischief in the middle of Tony Stark's living room.

Loki stares blankly at me, as if finally recognizing the agony I have of not knowing who you truly are, and being the only one in the room who doesn't know.

"You..." He begins, his voice cracking just a little, "Are the anti-Christ." A silence falls over the room.

"The fucking WHAT?!" I shout, my high pitched pterodactyl screech bouncing off the walls.

"I didn't tell you because-" Loki starts, but I cut him off.

"-Because you're a pussy who was waiting to tell me only when I became useful to you, and then kill me yourself."

"I do not wish to kill you."

"Well maybe I wish to kill you!" I stomp my foot, then turn away from Loki. "Thor?" I say, "put me back in that cage before I eat your brother's heart out."

------------------------------------------------------

Well, I'm back in here. It seems as though Loki did in fact want to hurt me. Or more... not care if I did get hurt. There goes any chance of trusting him out the window. I pace around the perimeter of the glass cage, kicking an imaginary rock around. I sigh looking up at the ceiling. "Fuck." I mutter to myself.

Honestly, what happened was not my fault entirely. If I did successfully escape, I would have just gone straight to my sister and told her everything that happened, then brought her to the Stark tower. I would have complied and practiced my magic in a safe place, knowing that if Loki pissed me off, they would just get Banner over there to play wack-a-mole with him.

The door suddenly opens, and Natasha walks in. Ah, my favorite redhead. She walks over to me, and I smile flirtatiously. "Hey there, Nat. Quite a show back there, huh?"

"Are you ok?" She asks, smiling to herself.

"I guess so. I mean, I kind of want to punch Loki in the face, but I did try to escape. I just don't want to be locked up anymore." I say, turning my words serious.

"That's actually why I'm here. We've talked, the Avengers and Loki. You'll have your own room, and Loki gets paroled by all of us in shifts. He won't attack you like that again." She assures me. This makes me happy, and I can't help but say something arrogant.

"Good idea, because I can't have witnesses if I want to attack him." I say, chuckling to myself. I swear, witness or not, Loki is getting a knuckle sandwich.

Nat leads me up the stairs and down a long hallway. It's so clean and white with floor to ceiling windows looking out over the city. It's beautiful. I envy the birds flying past the windows.

She motions to the door at the end of the hallway. "This is your room, and your bathroom is right here across the hall. I put some clean clothes on the bed for you."

I walk into the room, which is the most luxurious bedroom I'm probably ever going to be in. There's a black accent wall that's behind the bed, which has plush white sheets and at least 6 pillows. It's a king size. Adjacent to the bed is a wall of windows. I gasp at my new view, obsessed with it right away. Facing the end of the bed is a bookcase and a love sofa, and a walk-in closet on the other side of the room.

"If something doesn't fit, just tell Pepper and she'll have it fixed for you."

"Natasha, I don't deserve this." I say humbly.

"Nonsense. You're one of us." She says, coming up beside me at the windows. I gently squeeze her hand in gratitude. She smiles at me, then leaves me to my own. I close my eyes, taking in a deep breath. This is unreal.

I turn to gather the clothes at the end of the bed when I see Loki leaning against the doorframe, arms folded in front of him. His face is angled slightly down, but his eyes are on me. He has a playful smile on his dumb, gorgeous face.

"So, my dear, has your desire to kill me subsided yet?" He asks.

"No, but other, less dramatic desires have peaked." I say with a cheeky smile. I strut up to him and punch him hard in the jaw. It snaps under my fist, his hair flowing in strands over his face. "Well, get up and take it like a god." I sass him. He twists his head back to me.

"I like you." He says, absolutely giddy with amusement.

"Shut up and move out of the way. I need to shower." I say, pushing past him to see Steve giggling just beyond the door frame.

"Nice punch, Ayça." He says, then guides Loki back down the hall. I roll my eyes when he turns around to look at me once more before being shoved down the stairs.

Now finally, a shower.
