Author's note: Shorter chapter this time but oh is it a good one! It's a plot twist alright. Can't wait to continue this subplot! Enjoy (:

------------------------------------------

"You expect me to trust you?" He says, scowling at me from the edge of the bed.

"Yes." I say forcefully.

I've told him everything about what happened with Thanos. So far, he's looking at me like he used to in the beginning, like he can't trust me and would rather have his hands around my neck to squeeze the life out of me than see me breath one more breathe.

"You're delusional. How could you?" He sniffs, utterly betrayed.

"Loki, I lied to him! Is it not obvious?" I say, following him as he gets up from his seat.

"Do you realize the mistake you've made?" He growls at me.

I look up at him with tears in my eyes. "I-" I begin, but he shoves me towards the door.

"Get out."

"Loki, don't..." Oh god, my heart is breaking.

"Why did you wait to tell me?" he asks, his voice starting to sound more broken than angry.

"I was scared. I knew it was going to be a heavy subject, and I was scared to tell you. I was scared of this, Loki!" I yell, now full on crying.

I can't handle this anymore, so I run out of the room. I shut myself in my room, worried that I had just ruined everything. I rock back and forth on the floor in front of the windows, tugging on the roots of my hair. At least he can't actually kill me this time. I cry into my hands when I hear a knock on the door.

"Ayça? It's Peter, what happened?" I hear from outside.

"Peter, now isn't a good time." I cry out.

"Are you crying?" He asks.

"I said not now!" I yell.

"Did Loki do this?"

I don't answer, and he leaves the door. I stay on the floor, trying to catch my breath.

After a few minutes, I hear crashing downstairs, and a lot of yelling. I should have expected that. I run downstairs to a scene I will never get out of my head.

Thor has his hammer resting on Loki's chest, and he's squirming under it. Banner is in the process of turning into the hulk, Tony has a metal arm ready to fire, Natasha has a... knife? And Steve just straight up punched him across the face. Peter's filming it all.

"Stop, let him go!" I yell, rushing over to him. I stupidly try to pick up the hammer off his chest, desperate for him to not get crushed.

"What do you mean, 'let him go'? He admitted to sending you off crying!" Steve said, ready to punch him again.

"Please, it wasn't his fault!" He looks at me from under the hammer, half amused that I'm still trying to lift it, half confused as to why I'm defending him.

"Well, then what happened?" Tony presses.

"It's personal." I say, struggling to get the hammer off of him. I don't know why Thor isn't helping. I start crying again, hearing Loki struggle for air.

"Thor, get it off of him!" I beg.

He doesn't come help, and instead looks to everyone for how to respond.

"Loki, please, I'm sorry just believe me!" I whimper.

"You're the one who screwed up, Ayça, not me!"

I just yell at him, furious. This is ridiculous. He of all people should know what it's like to be a trickster. For a split second, when I was telling him everything, I thought he'd be impressed that I straight up lied to Thanos's face. Instead, he's getting crushed by Thor's hammer and there's nothing I can do about it.

"Maybe we should let them have their lover's quarrel?" Tony suggests, lowering his arm. Thor nods, and takes a step towards us.

"You have to be in love to have a lover's quarrel." Loki spits out.

My eyes go bloody red, and my veins light on fire. My fingertips turn black and I grip the handle of the hammer with both hands. I am raging angry.

Thor backs up, startled by my sudden change. Then, everyone goes up in arms as I lift the hammer off of Loki's chest and throw it out the window, shattering glass everywhere.

"HOLY SHIT!" Tony screams, ducking. Thor looks like he could faint. Everyone is kind of just frozen, staring at me. Loki picks himself up.

"How did you do that?" He asks, his voice raspy from being out of breath for so long.

"Because I love you, you fucking idiot!"

"Oop-" Tony says, making a long, awkward face and itching the back of his head.

"Well, that just happened..." Peter says, slowly putting his phone back in his pocket.

The rest stand down, not sure what to do. Thor reaches his hand out to bring his hammer back, and it comes flying through the window and into his hand. Loki's face softens.

"You..." He starts, almost whispering.

"Yeah. I can't stand here and pretend I don't know how I feel about you. God, I would do anything for you, Loki. Fucking anything. You're annoying, aggressive, impulsive, and sometimes completely reckless. But you're protective, and you care about me. I know you do. You're..." I sigh, getting lost in his eyes, "You're the light of my life."

Everyone watches him, waiting for him to respond. He takes in a big breath, relaxing his body a little. He takes my face in his hands, tilting it up so I look up at him.

"My dear... words cannot, and will never compare to the feeling I get whenever I look into your eyes. My life gets significantly better the moment you walk into the room. I'm sorry I ever doubted you, my love."

"My love?" I repeat.

"Yes. Ayça, I believe you have something of mine."

"What's that?" I ask, preparing for something totally cheesy.

"My heart."

I giggle, hoping that's what he'd say.

"Oh, brother..." Thor says, rolling his eyes and laughing.

"That's gross. Pepper, where's my chlorophyll?" Tony says, looking around for Pepper. He turns around, giving me a look of approval. "Sorry we almost crushed your boyfriend, Ayça."

"It's ok, he forgives you." I wink, looking back at Loki.

"I do not!" He declares, getting offended.

"Walk with me, ok?" I say, pulling him with me to the next room, and walking him to a balcony to have a moment alone.

I lean against the railing on my elbows, and he leans against it facing the other way, relaxing into his stance. I look up at him expectantly. I keep doing that for a few minutes until he finally catches me.

"What?"

"What?" I repeat.

"You're staring at me." He assesses.

"Well, what else do you want me to look at, the floor!?"

"I-"

I cut him off by laughing and talking louder, "You're just standing there like a goober not doing anything! So I'm wondering when you're going to kiss me!"

He laughs at me, twists his body and kisses me, dipping me over his knee. I feel like we're in a movie. He's so passionate, holding me so close to him as he picks me back up. He relaxes into my lips, then slowly takes his face away. He tucks my hair behind my ear.

"Oh, how I love you, Ayça." He says, kissing me softly again.
