I stand at the edge of the cliff and take in a deep breath. It's starting, I can feel it. I feel the tension in the air. The war is coming.
Loki comes to stand by my side, holding my hand. "You alright, darling?" He asks. I just nod, exhaling a shaky breath. I look over my shoulder at the crowd of heroes behind me. They're counting on me to be the bigger person, the savior. Oh god, I hope I can do it.
"I... Loki, I'm scared." I admit at a volume only he could hear.
"I know you are, my dear. But Ayça," he says, turning to face me, "You are burdened with glorious purpose. You will put up your fists, and you will fight. You will win. Do you understand me?" His voice is so comforting. He really believes in me.
"Yes, I understand." I say, taking a moment before holding back a smug, cheeky smirk. "Burdened with glorious purpose?" I recall. He exhales a short laugh, then tucks his hands in his pockets. "You have a way with your words, Loki. Thank you."
I turn to face the others. "I've been considering the outcome of my actions. When I first arrived to New York, when I first got out of that cage, and when I had my first day training. It's all lead me to this pivotal moment in my life. And, as far as I've come, I still have evil running through my veins. That will never change, and I see now that I have a choice to make." If I'm going to have a main character speech, it's going to be now. I'm studying their faces as I speak. They all seem very cautious and attentive. "I choose you guys. I choose to fight and stay here." I start tearing up, terrified that I might have to make a different decision down the road. I turn to Loki and hold his hand. "I choose you." I whisper.
"We've got your back, kiddo." Tony reassures me.
"You have a pure heart, Ayça. Remember that." Says Nat.
"Thank you. I think, for the time being, it might be best to not exhaust myself and rather, save my energy for when the time comes." I say, seemingly changing my mind. If I want to go full power to finish this once and for all, I need my strength.
Loki nods at me, and pulls me into an embrace.
"When... uh, when exactly is this all... happening?" Peter asks nervously.
"I wish I knew." I say, disappointed.
"We cannot just wait around. If they do not come to us, we shall go to them. If it is a fight we are destined to have, then a fight we start!" Thor exclaims.
"No, no there's another way we can know for sure. It's risky, but it will work." I say, seeming to have just come up with any idea, but have secretly already been brewing on.
"Ayça, don't you dare. You're grounded." Tony says, pointing at me. Damn, he's good.
"Look, if I talk to Thanos he might listen to me! I'm his daughter..." I try to reason. But no one will let me out of their sight now.
"Loki, take her back to the house and don't let her leave. She's grounded until this starts." Tony says, walking the other direction.
"Dude, you can't ground me!"" I yell, struggling to get out of Loki's grip, who just holds me back tighter. Ah, like old times.

Loki takes us back to my room at the tower in New York. Where the others are, I'm not sure yet. He releases me, and we settle for a moment before a smile creeps into the corners of his mouth.
"Well done, my dear. Excellent performance."
I curtsey, then stand in front of him. I place my hand on his cheek, studying the beauty in his face. "The speech was real, I am a little afraid when it comes down to things."
"Oh, Ayça. If only I believed you." He says, his voice getting lower and more raspy.
"I could be more powerful than you, ya know." I smile at him while looking down my nose at him. I can tell he likes when I do that. It makes him fluster and fidget. It's cute.
"No one will be more powerful than me, my dear." He says, taking my hand that's on his face by the wrist.
"Is that so? Even gods like you have a weakness." I say, biting my lip. I like this banter while sneaking around with him. I feel like I could almost be on his level.
"I assume you know what it is, then?" he says, narrowing his eyes dominantly.
"Do I?" I challenge him.
"You do know how to test me, don't you?" He says through his teeth, squeezing my wrist and grabbing the other one. He holds them to his chest and walks me backwards further into the room.
"I like it when you talk dirty, that's all."
"My dear, if I talked dirty to you, you'd be undone in minutes."
He kisses me hard, breathing me in. I do the same, trying to twist my hands from his grasp to wrap myself around him. He holds on tight and separates our lips for a moment.
"ah ah ah, no." He whispers.
Oh, I'm unraveling. My voice quivers and he laughs low under his breath, sending shivers down my spine.
"No, you won't let me go? Or 'no' I can't use my hands?"
"Which do you prefer?"
"My god, Loki..." I say, closing my eyes. He kisses me again, pushing me into the wall. He brings my hands above my head, holding them against the wall behind me with one hand. He holds my waist with the other and presses himself into me. I lift my chin up for him to kiss my neck. He starts kissing me, then slows down, then finally stops. "What's wrong?" I ask him.
He lets my hands go, but doesn't step away. Instead, he cups my face in his hands and presses his forehead against mine.
"There is nothing I want more in this world then to spend my eternal life by your side. A part of me fears that I will not get that come tomorrow. But, if it does, I must know." He looks at me, his nose barely grazing mine. He is so close to me, but not close enough. It feels like he's never close enough.
"Know what?" I ask, getting slightly impatient with his long pause.
"Will you return to Asgard with me?"
I gasp lightly, taken aback by his request. I would be leaving everything. I'd be leaving my sister, my friends, everyone on the Avengers team... for Loki. I don't even know what will become of me by the end of tomorrow after the battle, but what I do know is that this man, this god in front of me... he truly owns my whole heart.
"I..." I try to answer, but the words just don't come out of my mouth.
"Ayça, I will truly love you forever. I will give you the life you desire. I can feel what your heart wants, and I assure you that you will have it. You sister, everything that is in your heart is yours. I promise." He says, kissing my cheek gently.
"Well, when you put it that way." I say, and his eyes light up.
"What is your answer?" He asks eagerly.
"Loki, prince of Asgard and god of mischief... I'm yours."
