I fall to my knees in front of Thanos as he takes his place in his throne. It looks like we're in a cave, but it's hot and there's chains hanging from the ceilings. I don't wanna know what those are for.
"Please... let me go." I beg, looking up at him. I start crying.
"If I let you go now, what was the point in kidnapping you? I've brought you home, Ayça." He says, watching me have a full on panic attack.
"What's your angle?" I ask, catching my breath.
"You seem very occupied with the god of mischief these days, my daughter."
I try to keep my breath easy, calm, but I can't stop shaking. "It appears I've made an alliance with him, yes." I say, trying not to give anything away.
"Your tactics are quite clever. You've managed to make yourself his weakness." I think I am to take that as a compliment, but instead I just feel guilty.
"Perhaps... he is mine as well." I say, my voice breaking in between words.
"Then I have misjudged you." He says, pounding his fist on the armrest of his throne. "Where does your loyalty lie, child?" He demands.
I stop crying, dropping my act. I get up and smile at him with a devilish grin and red eyes. "My loyalty lies with blood, not water." I answer in a low, confident voice. He relaxes back and gives me a cruel sneer of a laugh.
"Good to have you back on my side."
"I never left." I say, grinning. "I've had Loki wrapped around my finger ever since he stepped into that Stark tower." I say, swaggering forward like a villain from a movie. "He thinks he's such a trickster, but even he can't fool the devil's daughter."
He shifts in his seat forward, leaning towards me. "So you will fight on our side, then?"
"When the time comes."
"Why wait?" He asks, his temper rising again.
"They expect you, and I know Loki better than you do. You attack now, you will lose. Let him think he's training with me a little while longer. I have him completely. He thinks he's in love with me, I have him right where I want him," I say, pacing arrogantly in front of him. "That way in battle, it will be such a sweet taste to use his own moves against him to take him down."
"What a clever protégé you've turned out to be, my daughter." He says, very pleased. I stop in front of him.
"You want Loki gone, out of your way for good? I'll gladly take him down myself." I say with confidence.
"I assumed you would want to. I will give you the task, then." He orders. I raise one finger in the air, holding the moment.
"On one condition. I will take out your enemy if you take out mine. I am still mortal, father..." I hint. He narrows his eyes at me.
'What are you asking?"
"You give me immortality, and Loki won't ever be your problem again." I say, locking eyes with him. I keep them red to prove he can trust me.
"That's a high price you're asking." He says, leaning back in his throne.
"Call it insurance." I bargain.
"Very well. As you leave to return to Earth, drink from the fountain. It will grant you immortality."
--------------------------------------
My skin it hot to the touch. I'm running through the dark house with the woman who doesn't know who I really am. The doors start shaking, then slam shut. I have to get to my phone, I have to call Castiel and Dean. They can help, but I'm being hunted by a ghost I can't even see.
We make it to the hallway, my head pounding. She runs upstairs, but that's the dumb girl move. I can make it to my phone in my bag in the table in the hallway. I tell her to hide, and take a chance to stay downstairs. The doors start shutting me in. My heart is thumping hard, my ears pulsing in fear. If only I could call Dean...
The last door starts to close, so I leap to keep it open. The ghost is pushing against me, slowing starting to show itself. She's terrifying. My eyes pulse in my head and my heart continues to beat so fast. I feel like I'm having a heart attack. I fall back and I fear that I'm too late.
Then, out of no where, I hear my name come from a disembodied voice. It's not scary, it's actually very soothing. Wait, I know that voice... Loki!
I come to, tears pushing against my closed eyelids that I clench tight while laying on my back in bed. I'm at Tony's house, and I can feel Loki laying next to me under the sheets. His hand is pressed against my cheek.
"Ayça, wake up, darling."
"I don't want to open my eyes. I can't, I'm too scared." I whimper.
"Do not be afraid, my dear. It's only a nightmare."
I open my eyes, his face so close to mine that the ends of his hair are just brushing my nose. I gasp quietly. He's so peaceful. His soft, ocean eyes focus on mine, his gentle touch bringing me back to reality.
I sit up slightly and rub my eyes as he watches, moving his hand down the side of my neck and to my shoulder. "How long have I been out?" I ask, not remembering how I got back to Earth.
"Almost a week, but you've been in and out for days. You came back early in the morning after the battle. What do you remember?"
I remember everything. I remember getting drunk, then Loki making an insane escape from Thanos, only to have me captured anyway later that night. I remember the deal I made with Thanos and... oh my god. My immortality!
"I... I remember the battle. And Thanos took me anyway." Is all I say.
"What did he do to you?" He asks, almost not wanting to hear an answer.
"Loki, I-" I begin, but we are interrupted by Pepper knocking on the door.
"Is Ayça awake?" She calls through the door.
"I'll be right back." He says, kissing me on the cheek. He gets out of bed, shirtless, and wraps a black robe around him, tying it at the waist. He opens the door wide to show Pepper that I am in fact awake.
"Ayça! It's so good to see you, are you alright?" She says, walking past Loki.
"Hi Pepper! Thank you, yes I'm ok, just tired. Could I get some coffee please?"
"There's breakfast downstairs. Come down when you're ready, ok?" She says, placing a comforting hand on the side of my head. She's so sweet, and brave for staying with us all for so long. I nod, and she leaves, closing the door behind her.
Loki walks back to my bed, laying on top of me. He smiles innocently at me, tucking the hair behind my ear. "You're beautiful."
I blush hard, and take his face in my hand. I pull him up to me gently, placing a kiss on his lips. "So are you, my dear." I say in his accent.
He chuckles at me, pulling me into him and kissing me, pushing me down so that my head rests on the pillow. I relax into him. I missed this.
My stomach growls and we stop, looking at each other surprised at how loud it is. We both burst out laughing, and he picks me up and holds me against him by my legs around his hips. I hang onto him with my arms around his neck and he sets me down to stand next to the bed.
"I will let you dress. Don't take too long, my dear. I've missed you so much." He says, kissing me one more time before leaving the room.
I go to my dresser to pick out something to wear. I lift my head to meet my reflection in the mirror on the wall and sigh. I chew on my lip, my heart fluttering with anxiety. What have I gotten myself into?
