"Ayça... breathe. Try again." I say under my breath. I'm sitting facing away from the rest of the room outside my cage, one shoe laying in front of me. I hover my hand over it, feeling every cell of the leather and cotton laces. I close my eyes, hold my breath, and squeeze all the cells of the shoe, trying to bend it's energy. Finally, I feel a resistance of gravity. I open my eyes, and my shoe is levitating a few inches off the ground. "YES!" I shout, dropping it back on the ground.

I immediately panic a little inside, hoping I didn't just draw attention to myself. The guard can't see what I'm doing, so I try again. This time, it lifts off the floor easier. I did it.

"And for my next trick..." I say, twitching my hand to shapeshift the shoe into a black pump. Holy shit! I did that? "Excellent." I say with an evil Disney villain smile.

I change the heel back into my black leather boot and put it back on my foot. Show time. Unfortunately, my plan pauses when Loki lets himself into the room. I watch him as he walks the stairs to the platform outside my cage.

"Can I help you?" I ask him.

"Why the desolate tone, Ayça?" He asks, cocking his head to the side.

That's the first time I've heard him say my name. It came out like silk and gave me butterflies in my stomach. I have mixed feeling about this. "Natasha said you 'wouldn't' hurt me. What's your deal? Are you trying to torture me? Protect me? What's your angle?" I quiz him. He just smiles, pursing his lips.

"You, my dear, are misunderstood. You are dangerous. We have these things in common, yet I do not trust you." He responds. What the fuck does that mean?

"I know I'm dangerous, Loki. If it weren't for the Avengers, I would have sucked someone's soul out of their body. And another thing? Maybe I don't trust you, either." I say, my voice getting louder. It doesn't phase him.

"If you cross me, Ayça, you will regret it." He says, suddenly getting angry and slamming his fist on the glass next to my face. I step back, my eyes widening. What a drama king. I wasn't expecting that.

"What are you gonna do, kill me? You know they will all just kill you if you do that." I threaten.

"Bold words for someone locked in a cage." He slithers his words out at me.

"You would know." I say, stepping closer to him and back into my power. This makes him smash his fist on the glass. I would imagine that would shatter it, but it doesn't. I flinch, which makes the corner of his mouth go up in a satisfied smirk. "Remember that." He says as he takes his weight off the glass and struts out of the room.

"Hey, guard?" I shout, gliding over to the side of the cage. He says nothing, but turns his attention to me. "Can you come here a moment?" I ask, suggesting him coming closer with my hand.

He walks over innocently as I try to hide my excitement. I'm about to bust myself out of here.

"What is it?" He asks once he gets to the door.

"I need to use the bathroom." I say, showing him a copy of myself while I hide behind a veil. He believes it, and takes my hands to tie them like he usually does when taking me out of the cell. Perfect. Once he guides the illusion out the door, I run for it. I hide in the darkness of the room. It feels so exhilarating to be escaping like this. I can't wait to see their faces when they realize I've busted out and they can't catch me.

As I hide in the corner and the guard has taken the trickster me to the bathroom down the hall, I send a mirage of the guard trapped in the cage. He bangs on the glass, screaming for help. They all rush in, leaving the door cracked open behind them. Tony rushes to one side of the platform while Natasha rushes to the other. Steve mans the door while Thor looks around for me. The only one not here is Loki.

I slip out the door, uncovering the veil I have around me. I salute them with two fingers to my forehead and say, "It's been a blast, really!"

That makes them turn around, confused and panicked. This is hilarious. My adrenaline propels me around the corner and through the tower. I hear them chasing me as I make my way to the door. I'm almost there, I can practically smell the clouds that surround the tower. It's overcast today. I haven't seen the sky in almost a week, and normally I'd complain about overcast, but today it's beautiful.

I launch at the door when I'm knocked to the ground in mid air. My back hits hard and I feel a knee on my chest, baring down hard. Both my wrists are pressed into the floor by Loki, who's glaring into my eyes. He looks furious, but also quite impressed with my escape. The Avengers catch up to us, stopping in their tracks.

"Loki, think about this." Natasha says, holding out her hands and trying to reason with him. He winks at me, then looks up slowly at them. My heavy breathing is the loudest thing in the room until I hear them all screaming at him to stop, but it's not use. The green ribbon of a portal opens up around us and we are swallowed by smoke... and then we're gone.

--------------------------------------------------

We arrive in a place I can only describe as Hell. It's hot, smoky, and the ground crumbles as you walk. There are no animals, but as I look around I can see eyes of different kinds of demonic spirits watching me. Loki releases me from his grasp and watches me as I look around in horror.

"Loki, what the HELL have you done?" I snap at him.

"Excellent choice of words, my dear." He says, his voice loud over the screams and volcanic crashes that constantly sound in the distance.

"Answer me!" I scream, scared out of my mind. What are we doing here? What is he doing?

"You have a destiny on your hands. I am only here to deliver it to you." He growls, suddenly grabbing my shoulders in his hands. They squeeze me, holding me still. "Tell me, do you not feel the power surging through you now?" He says, almost getting manic.

My skin starts smoking, and my fingertips turn black. I start to only see red, and my blood boils in my veins. They glow a devilish red, and I see his excitement as he watches me turn into a monster.

"Loki, stop it!" I beg, but he just watches me. "Let go! Bring me back to the tower!" I beg, screaming in a shrill pitch.

He covers my mouth, saying, "You are no more than a mere weapon, Ayça. This is your potential, this is your power!"

I struggle to speak under his hand. He pulls me closer against his chest to restrain me, his arm wrapping around my waist. He's not letting me relax. I am pained with unreasonable rage that I start to lose control of. I'm terrified, wishing that someone will come and get him off of me.

From the corner of my eye I see a thick beam of light come down, Thor smashing his hammer on the ground in the middle of it.

"Are you insane!?" He barks at his brother, who tosses me to the ground. My body suddenly turns back to normal. I realize that it wasn't me at all who was changing me, it was all him. What an asshole.

"You did not see it when you first set your eyes on her? Are you really that stupid, Thor?" Loki argues.

"We must leave, brother. You've put us all in danger. You cannot use this girl for your own selfish reasons, not matter what she is." He says, picking me up from the ground. "Are you alright?" He asks, his voice softer to me than to Loki.

"No?" I say, flustered and shaking in his arms.

Thor shoots a furious look at Loki, then grabs him by the arm and leads us to the beam of light. We soar through the air and out of this pit. We land back in Tony's tower where everyone is waiting for us.
