The word echo's around the deathly silent room.
Father
There was no mistaking it. His dark hair and green eyes were exactly the same shade as mine. And while his face, and body for that matter, were much fatter than my own, I am no doubt his sire.
"Get out," he growls but I tilt my head, a smirk tugging at the corners of my mouth.
"I'm the Princess of all Vreca, I deserve some respect," I reply smoothly taking another step forward, my cape billowing behind me, wicked smile still in place.
"And I," he says standing, face turning red with anger. "Am the King of Vreca. I over-rule you." I reach slowly for my dagger, hidden in the folds of my skirts.
"Not for much longer." The dagger hits the side of his face, drawing blood. He goes to yell, clutching the deep cut along the side of his cheek but Jade jumps down, strangling him with a cloth, wide eyes directed at me.
"Oops," I say. "I better introduce each other. Father," I spit at his feet, enjoying the show of fury on his face.
"This is my girlfriend, Jade. Jade, meet my asshole father. Isn't this fun!" I say, fake excitement dripping from my voice and even Jade, in her state of shock, laughs. I pluck the crown off his head, spinning it around on my finger. The jewels glisten in the light filtering in and the heavy gold sparkles.
"I rather like this, don't you?" I say, placing it upon my head and Jades eyes widen. She kicks the back of my father's legs so he is on his knees before me, face turning blue. The cloth slips a bit and his eyes find my own, full of an untamed wild fury.
And for that moment I didn't feel like a lost girl playing dress-up but the Rebel Queen, conquer of Vreca and saviour of the women.
"You..." he chokes out though the fabric.
"Are insane."

Withthat, I feel such a pain in my stomach that my knees give way automatically. Ilook down, vision blurry and see the dagger, a sea of red spilling from it.
"Oh."
