Chapter 35 (Abigail)

It took a while to find Bucky again, but where we found him and in the state that we did was not a good one. He was in a capsule with someone speaking russian to him as he tried to call out for some kind of help. "Everyone, back down." I said as calmly as I could, trying to get close enough to figure out a plan.

"Abigail, what are you doing?" Steve questioned in my ear piece and I could see him on one of the beams.

"Shut it, Steve, I can't understand what he's saying."

"Gruzovoy vagon."

"Ready to comply."

"Winter Soldier, we need your help again for the greater-"

"Stand down, Winter Soldier." I said in almost perfect russian, getting a glare from the man trying to turn Bucky. "He isn't looking for the greater good, listen to me."

"She is the enemy to true freedom, get her."

"Bucky no!" I yelled out without thinking and the next thing I knew, his hand was around my throat, but I noticed he grabbed with his real hand. "Please, you know you're stronger. They have to lie to get you to do what they want. Come back." I said as calmly as I could.

Gods, he had been in Wakanda for so long to prevent this from happening again, but I knew he was having episodes when memories would come back to him. I had just hoped that he would have said something before this would happen.

"Ya gotov otvecht." He said while squeezing.

"Bucky, please, I don't want to hurt you. You know that you're better than this, you're stronger."

"End her, Winter Soldier."

I could see something flash in his eyes, giving me just enough wiggle room to reach up and remove the mask from his face. "You know me. Is it really for the good of humanity to harm me?" I whispered.

"We're coming in, Abigail." Steve said in my ear and I could see everyone surrounding us.

"Stand back! I can bring him back."

"He's not Loki!" This time it was my father's voice and I could tell I was losing a battle, but I wasn't sure which one. "You can't bring him out of this, you have to lay him out or we will."

"None of us are." I said before Bucky stumbled back with Nat on his back, pulling him away and making me fall to the ground.

Steve's shield came flying through the air and Bucky caught it before he could be hit, throwing Nat off of him as if she was nothing. I went back to him, trying to get him to recognize all of us, trying the best I could to not have to fight him, but when he threw me against the wall, I knew that wasn't going to work. I went running for him, my suit surrounding me as I ran and tried to put him in a sleeper hold, but was met with a headbutt before I swung around his body as though he was nothing more than a pole and returned the favor.

"Fuck.." I called as he lifted me off of him. "Fucking serum.."

"Language!" Steve hollard.

"Fuck you too!" I said before getting thrown hard enough that I was knocked out for a while.

I wished I knew what happened, but the next thing I knew, I was waking up in my bed with one hell of a headache. I could tell that Loki and the kids were still on Jotunheim since we didn't trust being away for long and I was staying here on earth until I knew everything was okay, but the room was warmer than I was used to it being.

"Jarvis, what day and time is it?"

"It is May third at twelve noon, Mrs Odindotir. You have been out for a while."
