Chapter 43 (Abigail)

By the next morning, we met with Shuri and headed back to the Avengers compound to get Steve. I handed him and Shuri a unit and explained how to use them again and what the updates were. "We're still working on a more mutual area, so for now we just meet wherever everyone can agree. Just remember it's almost zero degrees kelvin there so don't be afraid to turn the heat up. The body shock is normal at first so I suggest you start the temp at your body's normal body heat and go from there."

They nodded before Bucky spoke. "I'm going with you. It's non negotiable, I never had a choice for you, but if you're bringing Steve, I'm checking it out."

"Are you sure, Wolfie?"

"Wolfie?" Shuri asked with a chuckle. "Dude, what is with your nicknames?"

"What? It just...came to me." I said with a smirk.

"I'm sure. It's just a planet of ice, right?" I nodded. "Then I already know and I highly doubt you'd actually let us get frozen."

"Of course I wouldn't." I said with a smile. "The kids will be happy to see you."

Shuri made a playful gagging noise and I flipped her off just as the portal opened for us and we stepped through. Since my unit was already programmed, I didn't have an adjustment period while the others did and worked to get the right temperature. As we led everyone through the halls, I noticed everyone was still here and Eitri looked a little worried since we had more guests coming than anyone expected. "I was thinking we could introduce everyone to the council as a whole and then head over to see Rhys to discuss our common ground." I said in a low tone. I didn't really trust Eitri after the shit he pulled a few days ago, but I would be damned if I let him know that.

Walking into the main conference room, I introduced Steve and Shuri as two of earth's representatives and even explained why we needed two. Once Steve got comfortable and Bucky was willing to leave the room, we started to head towards the guest wing, knowing that we had to smooth things over with Rhys before we got much further.

"Mommy!" I turned to see Arn and Daliah running towards me and I bent down to hug them close.

"Babies." I said happily. "Were you two good for Daddy?" They both nodded happily, but once they saw Bucky, I was chopped liver and they bolted towards him. I couldn't help but laugh at their excitement as Loki pulled me in close. "You know, you two are so similar with them."

"They do love their uncle Bucky." Loki said with a kiss on my forehead.

"Mommy, Daddy, can we show Uncle Bucky our classroom?"

"If he wants to. Daddy and I will meet up with you guys soon, okay?" They nodded and started talking over each other excitedly and I went to stand in front of Bucky. "We're all safe here, Wolfie. I promise and Thor is in with Steve, just let them lead you."

He laughed a little before nodding. "You know I can't relax, but we'll see what happens."

"Good. Ilod should be with Lynsa in the nursery." I offered before kissing him and walking back over to Loki and Shuri as we watched them leave and before Loki had me pinned against a wall. "Careful, Daddy, we have guests." I smirked as his lips landed on mine in a primal need. I loved them fighting over dominance when it came to me, and I knew I was in for it after we got things settled away.

Which luckily didn't take long. Rhys had agreed to help with the DNA extraction to make more of the heart shaped flower for Wakanda. They had better technology in that sense, but we had much more available in developing serums and changing someone's genetic make up and I hoped it was enough. As they talked, I started to pull Loki out of the room.

"Daddy, I don't think they need us right now." I said in a playful, cutesy voice.

"Kitten..." He moaned softly.

"Tell you what, if you catch me before I make it to our room, I'll be good until everyone leaves." I teased, but was already starting to walk away and then ran. I knew he could catch me easily, but I also knew another passageway to get into our room quicker. Just as I put my hand on the handle, I felt Loki press against me with his hand on my throat. "No fair." I pouted as he turned me around.

"Oh no, Kitten, you are not getting away that easily." His smile was playful as he picked me up and brought me into our room.
