It had been too long since we were last able to go all night long and it wasn't until the sun came up that we finally went to bed. He held onto me tightly as my body was pressed up against him as much as I could; it felt like we couldn't get close enough after spending so much time alone.

I felt someone shaking me, I rubbed my eyes and turned to the person who was trying to wake me. "I'm sorry, my Queen, I'm Lynsa, the night nurse. He's getting hungry and I was told to wake you."

I held the blanket to my chest as I sat up and held my arms out for my son. "Thank you. Were you able to sleep at all while he slept?"

"No, my Queen. I wouldn't dream of sleeping when I am watching him for you." She said as I helped Arn latch and I winced a little.

"Can you grab me a pillow from the closet please?" She nodded and went to grab the pillow so I could readjust again. "So sorry I'm not very presentable, but you're more than welcome to go rest. Thank you for taking such good care of our son last night."

"Anything for you. We will stay outside so you may have some privacy, my Queen. Leytle will be here during the day."

"Thank you, go rest. He's not always so quiet at night."

Lynsa bowed and headed out. Once the door closed I felt more comfortable to just let the blanket fall, even though I was slowly feeling the cold again. I gently rubbed Arn's cheek as he fed, finding comfort in moments like this when I had Loki's arms wrapped around me and Arn snuggled closely as he fed from me. Of all the things I could have imagined coming from my life, I would have never guessed I would have landed where I was with the most amazing husband and a little one that was perfect in every way.

Arn was peaceful no matter where we were, being able to regulate his own temperature already that he wouldn't be too warm or too cold. His skin rarely changed and I was already in love with him; he had all of the best features of both of us, especially the ones I wished Loki could see was perfection to me.

"Morning, Kitten." He said sleepily.

"Morning, Daddy. Sleep well?"

"Very." He playfully growled in my ear and kissed my shoulder. "How long have you two been awake?" He asked as he reached over to help me hold Arn after I got him unlatched and I noticed the typical blue of his skin that showed he was Jotun.

"Not long. He luckily didn't wake much, I would have felt so bad if I would have slept through his cries."

"I don't recall us sleeping much." He said with a grin and kissed me softly before kissing Arn's forehead.

I smiled up at him. I could see our lives fold out in front of my eyes. I could see children running around the castle during the day, learning their histories and how to be better than we could ever dream of being, and by nightfall, huddled around so they could listen to bedtime stories. I could see Loki shapeshifting into the different characters and putting on a play for them before bed.

"I was thinking.."

"Hm?"

"What if when I'm clear, we just say fuck it and not bother trying to prevent another pregnancy?"

Loki stood up to find clothes and chuckled a little. "Kitten, I don't know if I can go through without seeing you so much again and missing another pregnancy."

I brought Arn over to his crib while he fell asleep again. "That's the thing, we won't have to be apart like that again. I was thinking, we're used to using the bifrost, but what if we see if Strange or you can just open a portal? That way it's just like walking through a doorway. I don't know why I didn't think about it this time, but if I will always need it so cold while pregnant, why not be here?"
