As the years passed, life became a pretty easy routine. I spent half of my time on Jotunheim with Loki and the other half on Earth with Bucky. After watching our families slowly pass away and finding a serum to reverse most of the effects of the super serum, Steve had gone first with Madeline who had their own set of children and their line continued to be a part of the Interrealm Council. That had been my biggest pride that they were still part of our lives.

Both homes had been filled with generations of children and grandchildren, but it also took a huge toll on Bucky and me. Our children lived normal lives as humans and so did our grandchildren. We watched as generations passed before us, each one a little harder to bear than the last.

My father died a slow death. By slow I don't mean he got stabbed in the stomach and bled out, no he lasted about twenty more years before he died from multiple organ failure due to his drug and alcohol abuse in his younger years, and of course the shrapnel that once was in his heart. But when he finally went he was surrounded by us, Morgan and Pepper, all of his loved ones in one room. Pepper thankfully survived for another twelve years and died of natural causes when her heart gave out trying to save passengers on a plane that had engine failure. She spent her last minutes on earth entertaining the children while keeping the adults focused enough to look for parachutes and such so they would be safe. She died minutes before they regained control and landed and ended up with a foundation in her name thanks to the generous donations from a billionaire tech guru whose son was on that flight. We still see Elon and his son every now and then as a matter of fact.

Vision would never die, being powered by the mind stone meant he was immortal for all intents and purposes. However, so was Wanda. Her powers were manifestations of her will thanks to her being prophesied in the Darkhold, because of her level of power that was increased by the mind stone she was immortal. They ended up following Captain Marvel on her journeys throughout the universes as they slowly became partners of hers and helped her keep peace and order.

Clint and his family kept a low profile with him training all three of his kids in archery and in swordsmanship. When they finally joined him on the battlefield to face down terrorists both domestic and abroad they fought with him for a number of years before he took a stray bullet to the leg and was left just a step too slow. Stubborn bastard took another thirty years to pass but when he did he went after a fight with pancreatic cancer and was welcomed into Valhalla where his wife would join him after her death and he could train the next generation of soldiers to protect them all from the monsters in the universe.

Natasha was a sad one. After our big blow out she went back to working for the government and ended up on assignment in Baghdad where she was killed by a sniper, Clint found the man and made him pay for his crime. There was no calmness or peace in what he did and it was hard to stomach seeing.

As for Loki's and my children, I was happy they took after his lifespan as did their children and so on. Each one had found new ways to make the world better.

Every generation had something new to bring to the table rather it was on earth or on Jotunheim and I was so incredibly proud of each and every one of my children. I mourned those who passed before me, but I knew they were in a good place and had no doubt they were enjoying themselves in the halls of Valhalla. There was no way Odin and Frigga wouldn't allow them in to celebrate an eternity that would never end.

"Are you sure about this? Once I give this to you, there will be no turning back." I asked Bucky as Loki stood behind me.

He cupped my face in his hands, looking between us. "I have already outlived so many that I love, I will not outlive you if I have any say to it." He kissed me softly and held an arm out to me. I picked up the needle and placed it in his arm, knowing that the time would finally be counting down. I had taken off the white ring and Loki knew he was going to be running out of time soon, which given we probably still had sixty or so years to go, but I wasn't waiting until the last minute.

Now was our time to enjoy what would hopefully be our golden years. Arn was sworn in as the king of Jotunheim and while he had come to be a ruler greater than we had been and greater than the kings and queens before us. In every aspect, our names lived on in ways we could have never imagined.

It wasn't as though everything was perfect, but it was for us and as we laid down in our shared bed, each of our grandchildren were brought to Jotunheim during our final days. In that peaceful rest, I could feel both of their arms wrapped around me tightly as to say that even in our final moments, I was protected by them and I didn't need to worry, even though I had wished I could offer the same strength to them.

"I love you, Daddy. I love you, Wolfie." I said as I kissed them both.

"I love you too, Kitten. You have made my life full."

"I love you too, Dollbaby. I couldn't imagine being with anyone else."

I cuddled close to them both, feeling a calm that I had never felt before. I knew the end was near, but I wasn't afraid. I would see them again in Valhalla, our children and grandchildren would see that even in our final moments, we were connected as one.
