It's the weekend now, after the first day of me and Jason fake dating, after all of my friends turned on me at the mere thought of me being with Jason, I have not talked to any of them. I ignored them just as much as they ignored me and I'm becoming closer with Jason's friends as well as him.

Today he told me he was coming over to meet my parents, and when I told my parents they blew it way out of proportion.

No they didn't scream at me or punish me, they were excited. Very excited. Overly excited. They planned a huge dinner, my brother was told to cancel all of his plans in order to meet my boyfriend.

I'm just looking forward to the look on their faces when they realize he's not the boyfriend they're expecting. Of course it'll be an act, the more I hang out with him the more I can tell that what everyone says about him is a lie.

He's not in a gang, or a cult. He doesn't beat people up for no reason. He isn't a dealer, only a stoner. And he isn't incapable of feeling anything.

I hear a knock at the door as I rise from the couch, straightening the dress my mom made me wear. It's white and tight, with small red flowers all over. When I open the door he stands there holding a small baby in his arms. She had dark brown hair, that was short and barley there. She wore a small white onesie, with small raspberries on it. Her eyes were brown and huge, balancing out her equally as large and rosy cheeks. "And who's this?" I question looking at her.

He boosts her up a bit, her body by his side. "This is my sister's kid Layla. She's four months old. I thought we could tell your parents she's my kid." He says, a mischievous smirk on his lips.

I can't help but laugh as I smile, pulling him by his arm into the house, and shutting it behind him. "Oh darling is that him?" My mom questions from down the hall.

I walk into the main dining room seeing her serve the food as my brother and dad sit watching her do all the work. "Mom, Dad, Dillion, this is my boyfriend Jason." I tell them, "Oh and this is his daughter Layla." I add, smiling as their faces stay in shock.

"Shit." Dillion breaths, "You're dating Jason fucking Dalton?" He questions, loudly.

My mom turns to him, placing down the green beans, "Language." She says on impulse.

My dad stares at Jason, "So you make a habit of knocking up girls, boy?" He asks, in an angry tone.

"Well I mean it's only Layla right now." Jason answers, smiling at me, "But I wouldn't hate having another one of these little munchkins." He says, tickling Layla's chest and earning a giglie and a smile from her. "Here, Lil can you hold her for a second, I'm gonna go use the bathroom." He tells me, handing me Layla, as he walks down the hall not even asking for directions.

I hold her on my hip as I pull out of my chair and sit, shifting her to sit on my knee against my body. I look up meeting the eyes of my mom as she sits down. "So he wasn't exactly what I was expecting." She tells me. "But he seems like he's been through a lot."

I stare at her in dumb shock. She didn't just defend him right? No I must be fucking halusinating. Anytime we saw a mom that looked under thirty my mom said she'd kill me if I ever did that. Now she changed her mind?

He returns, sitting down beside me. When he looks over at me I give him a silent sign to kick it up a notch, giving him a thumbs up and pointing it to the sky.

He gets my message and instead of taking his niece back he turns to my parents, "How do you guys feel about smoking in the house?" He questions, pulling out a pack of cigarettes, and waving it back and forth. He must have run out of joints from Seth, I've learned he only smokes cigarettes when he can't get his hands on weed.

My dad raises his eyebrows not saying anything, "I'll take that as a no." He says, sliding the pack back into his pocket as he leans in, kissing me. He holds my chin with one hand as he deepens the kiss, brushing his tongue against mine and making me feel something I didn't last time (the only time) he kissed me. His fingers release my chin and he turns his head, holding the back on my neck instead.

He finally pulls back, running his thumb over my bottom lip, "Be right back." He says, walking away, towards the front door and closing it behind himself.

I turn back towards my family, ignoring their gazes as I drink most of my glass of water and swallowing, "We should probably start, it usually takes him at least ten minutes when he's stressed." I tell them, truthfully. I don't know why I know that. But I know it's true.

My parents don't say anything as they start passing around the dishes. And just like I assumed ten minutes into our dinner Jason returns, the smell of smoke clinging to his band shirt and jeans. "Hey babe." He greets looking at me and Layla as he sits back down, "God babe, you look so good with Layla I can't wait till we have our own." He hum, turning back to my father after asking for him to pass the chicken.

"Enough." My dad says, his tone riddled with anger. "Lilith you're a good girl, I don't want you associating yourself with a low life like him." He growls.

This was the goal, to get him angry, but now all I can think about is how he's insulting Jason, "I don't think that's your choice to make, and Jason's not a low life he's a good guy." I tell him.

"You had to do this right before the election, are you trying to jeopardize everything I've worked so hard to achieve." He says, glaring at me then Jason.

"Not everything's about you and this stupid election." I half yell, pissed off.

"No, it's about you and your druggie boyfriend?" He questions, sarcasm dripping from his voice.

I push out my chair, hoisting Layla on my hip, "I-I can't." I say, stopping myself from saying anything else, as I use my free hand to pull Jason from the table.

I slide on my shoes as does he, not asking any questions as my Dad rises from the table, "Where do you think you're going young lady?" He asks, harshly.

"Anywhere but here." I mutter, opening the door.

"Sweetie wait, please don't leave." My mom beggs, running to stop me.

I walk back, pulling her into a hug, "I'll be back tomorrow Mom, I just can't be here right now." I tell her, releasing her from the embrace. "I love you." I tell her, meeting Jason and Layla outside, and shutting the door.
