"So you two were just pretending to date?" Lily's brother clarifies, after we tried to explain everything to him and their mom over burritos.
Lily nods, "Yeah."
"But then you fake broke up." He asks, squinting his eyes. She nods again, along with me, "But then you got together for real?" We both nod as I bite into a burrito, "So you were just pretending to be an asshole?" He asks.
"Language." Mrs. Pearson mutters, to him.
"Yeah I'm not actually that big of a jerk, I also don't have a daughter, that was my niece." I tell him, also saying the second part to Mrs. Pearson as well.
Dillion looks like he's about to say something, swallowing his burrito and looking at me, "You play call of duty."
"Oh fuck yeah." I tell him, before realizing what I said and turning to Mrs. Pearson, "Sorry." I mutter. "You wanna play?" I ask, crumpling up my burrito wrapper. He nods enthusiastically, wrapping up the remainder of his burrito, and walking to the living room, "You coming?" I ask Lily.
She nods, "Yeah sure, but if you start screaming your head off like Dillion, I'm leaving." She tells me, a joking tone playing.
"Oh don't worry, I won't yell because I don't lose." I inform her, smirking a bit.
She shakes her head "You are so full of yourself aren't you."
"Thank you so much for dinner Mrs. Pearson." I tell Lily's mom.
She smiles kindly at me, "Please call me Jennifer." She says, I nod in return, holding Lily's hand and entering the living room.
Dillion's sitting on the floor, a controller in his hand as he sets up the game. I sit next to him leaning against the couch as Lily climbs behind me sitting down on the couch. She puts her legs over my shoulders as her hands start playing with my hair.
Dillion hands me the controller, "one v one?" He suggests. I nod as we both choose our weapons and decide the map, going with Hackney Yard.
He gets an easy kill, jumping me from behind. "Shit." I curse.
"What happened to you not dying?" Lily whispers in my ear, one of her hands playing with my hair while the other strokes my jaw, as she kisses my temple.
Dillon throws a grenade behind me before I can react and blows me up, "Damn Lil, you're distracting me." I tell her, refocusing on the game.
"Oh you'd rather I move?" She asks, removing her hand from my hair and leaning away from my ear.
As she starts moving away I find Dillion on the map, getting a quick headshot. "No, no, no, no." I mutter, pressing a kiss against the side of her knee when I move it back to my shoulder, guiding her hand to my mouth to kiss her palm, as she laughs.
She wraps her arms around my neck, kissing my cheek. I turn around finding him turning the corner, adn shoot him twice, making him curse. Lily tries sitting up again but I grab her arm, trying to pull her back down, "Wait, wait just stay like that." I tell her as I come across Dillion again, "Yes!" I say turning my head to the side and giving her a chaste kiss. "You're my good luck charm." I murmur against her lips, before looking back at the screen.
"God you guys are too cute, and I don't mean that in a nice way." Dillion tells us both, before he shoots me, killing me.
"Wait okay, wrap your arms around my neck like you did when I got him." I tell Lily, she laughs before complying. I locate Dillion, throwing a grenade by hit feet. "Haha Yes!" I half yell.
