Jace came and got me after Callie and Jaime. A fact I find strange because his house is closer to mine than either of their houses. When I get out to the car I'm surprised again because Jason's not driving, and not even conscious. He's sleeping in the back, his head resting against the window, as Callie drives.
I give Callie a questioning look as I get in, putting my backpack at my feet. "I don't know what's up with him but something's wrong." Callie mutters, starting to drive again.
I don't reply, instead just trying to wake up Jason. When he finally does he looks somewhere between tired and broken. Probably just tired.
I lean back in my seat, pulling Jason's head onto my shoulder, kissing his forehead as he falls asleep again.
The drive is five hours long, all five hours Jason sleeps, half the time on my shoulder the other half on the window.
I worry for Jason for a fair bit of the drive, trying to distract myself by listening to music and watching shows I've downloaded.
We finally arrive after dark. And even though it's dark out I can tell the view's beautiful. We arrived after Seth and when we enter he's lit a bunch of candles and paused the opening scene of Friday the thirteenth.
"You do know there are light switches right?" Callie asks, dropping her duffle bag and taking off her shoes.
"I was setting the scary mood Cal. Movie. Candles. Woods. Nighttime." He lists, counting his fingers.
I drop my bag and follow Callie's lead by taking my shoes off. Jason's not saying something, I can tell. I don't wanna push him, but I'm just worried.
Everyone accepts Lucas and Seth's proposal for the movie. I sit on a couch beside Jason while Jaime and Callie, and Seth and Lucas take the other couches.
Unlike the other times Jason doesn't take initiative to move close to me or even to cuddle. I lay down in front of him, horizontal on the couch as his hand hangs over my waist limply.
I want to ask what's wrong but I'll wait. I can't do it infront of everyone. Halfway through the movie I look around seeing everyone asleep before I turn off meeting Jason's half lidded eyes.
"Wanna go back to our room?" I ask him.
He bites his lip, nodding a bit. "Yeah sure." Those are the first words he's said to me since yesterday.
I brought him to the room that Callie said we could sleep in. After he enters, I hear the door click shut. I bring my lips to his kissing him eagerly. "Lily." He groans against my lips.
"Please?" I ask, pulling back to look into his eyes. "Since we've been together we still haven't..." I trail off, suggestively.
He raises his eyebrows as I kiss him again, that's all the encouragement he needs. He puts his hands on my waist, pulling me closer to him. I tug at his shirt, making him pull it over his head. I break away from the kiss leaning down to kiss his shoulder and neck.
He moves a bit closer to the bed, reconnecting our lips again. He moves a little closer to the bed as I take off my shirt. He drops on to the bed, pulling me on top of him.
Jason sits up, leaning against the wall as I sit on top of him. He breaks the kiss, moving my jaw up with his fingers to kiss down my neck.
I reconnect our lips, murmuring against his lips "I love you."
He tenses up at those words, "Lily stop." He says, pushing me off of him and standing up.
Feeling utterly rejected I grab my shirt, putting it back on "What's wrong?" I ask, leaning against the pillows.
"I just-I can't do this anymore." He blurts, retrieving his shirt from the floor.
"W-why not?" I half whisper the question, scared of his answer.
Jason pulls the shirt over his head, "I cheated on you." He tells me, before I can even ask he answers my question, "I slept with Emily. She was willing to give me something you wouldn't."
"When?" I choke out.
"Yesterday, I ran into her when I was leaving the walk out." He answers, avoiding my eyes, "I just can't be with you anymore Li-" He cuts himself off as if saying my name brings him pain.
I look down at my shaking hands, "But I love you." I say, my voice breaking.
He purses his lips, "No, no you don't." He half mutters. I open my mouth to say something but he stops me, "I just-I just need you to leave Lilith." He says coldly looking at the wall.
I feel tears forming in my eyes, "So you don't love me?" I ask, my heart beating with adrenolyn as I stand walking to where he is, "Jason tell me you don't love me and I'll leave." I tell him, watching him flinch at the use of his name.
He stares at the wall, "I. Don't. Love. You." He says, breaking the words apart.
"Can you look at me?" I state, the tears rolling down my cheek. He doesn't reply, "Jason I want you to look at me when you're breaking my heart." I say coldly, my words forcing him to turn around.
"I don't love you." He says, his voice barely above a whisper.
I nod, trying my best not to cry, more than I already am, in front of him. I turn, walking out the door and closing it softly behind me.
I slide down the door as the real tears break through. He doesn't love me, he never did.
