Chapter 12

I sighed nervously as I looked in the mirror one last time before grabbing my wallet and phone, and walking out in the living room where Blake and Nate were waiting.
"Oh, look who is getting all ready for his first date!" Nate exclaimed, smirking at me while giving sly looks to Blake who did nothing to hide the amusement on his face.
"Shut up." I grumbled. "This isn't my first date."
"But this is your first date with Scarlett and maybe even last date, considering that we are leaving tomorrow." Blake said with an amuse chuckle.
I frowned. Yes, I was leaving tomorrow and today was the last day to spend time with Scarlett. I was sad, but at the same time, I think it would be better for me, since no matter if I live here or call Scarlett to London, she would never change her mind regarding love. I was very surprised when she asked me on a date yesterday, but dismissed it by thinking that it was a lucky chance which won't occur again. All I could do is enjoy my day today with her and then forget it as a passing memory.
"I remember once he told us that he could charm any girl by just one look and she would be begging him to take her." Nate finished as he shared a look with Blake. "But he got rejected after one look by a woman."
"I don't remember saying that." I lied. Of course, I remember. I was so confident that day since none of the women I have met has ever rejected me until I met this minx.
"You said it in front of Will and Dad," Nate started. "We can ask them if you want? I am sure they will agree with me."
"And if I remember correctly it was after you threw a fit about Marisa being in the team of King Company that we had collaborated with." I said, a smirk forming on my lips as I watched the glare he sends my way. I had purposely spoken her name in front of Blake because I knew he would transfer this information to Gwen, who would not stop bugging Nate about it.
"Who is Marisa?" Blake asked curiously, looking between Nate and me.
"Why don't you ask this to my little brother?" I teased. "You can carry on with this discussion while I go to attend a date."
"Asshole," Nate muttered as I walked past him.
I laughed as I reached my door. "Lock it behind you, will you?" With that I closed the door shut and laughed at the interrogation Nate will be facing tonight.
I was meeting Scarlett at the front of the hotel as per her instruction. She told me to wear comfortable clothes so I settled on a pair of black jean and a plain blue t-shirt along with a jacket to keep me warm. I had to change it since the lunch I had with my family was a little fancy than the plans I have with Scarlett. The lunch with my family was interesting as Will and Sophia got a lot of teasing for their upcoming dinner date. It was Sophia's birthday today and Will had planned a surprise for her.
"Ethan!" I heard a voice yell out to me. I turned my head and watched Scarlett along with her friend, Lizzy waiting for me outside. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion as I watched Lizzy with her. Was she coming with us too? I hope not.
"Hey." I greeted them with a smile and turned to Scarlett. "You look really pretty."
I saw her flush after my compliment. She was wearing a simple dark blue jean and a black tank top along with a long dark green jacket which matched her outfit. Her hair was flowing naturally with the wind and there was no sight of makeup on her face. "Thank you."
"What? No compliment for me?" Lizzy teased from beside us.
I rubbed the back of my neck in embarrassment, before giving a charming smile to her. "You look pretty too." She was wearing a simple black jean and a pretty top.
