Chapter 15

Scarlett
I was humming a song as I carried a tray of food for room service. I was sad that I was put on this duty the next week, but couldn't really complain. Lizzy was very happy as she was no longer on Room Service.
I knocked on the door and waited for the person to open up. Once the door swings open, I enter with the tray and place it on the table before greeting them bye and leaving.
I sighed as I walked down. I passed by a room and slowed down. The room was where Ethan had stayed. It has been a week since he left for London and ever since then there has been no contact with him. It was like he was a fraction of my imagination; that the day I spent with him was all a dream. The only thing that was keeping it from actually becoming a dream was the ring he gave me and his touch on my body.
Ever since his departure, there has been no attack on me. It was all quiet as if that day didn't happen. Though, my suspicion on Oliver grew because the day Ethan left, Oliver came to me to apologise for behaving rude to me. Somehow, I feel it was him who locked me in the storeroom but I have no proof to confirm that theory.
"Hey." Lizzy greeted me as I walked near the pool area since I was free with no work.
"Hey." I said and helped Lizzy put the glasses of cocktail on the tray. "How is work?"
"Busy." She said and picked the tray and walked to her customer. The man, who looked around the same age as us, smiled at Lizzy and asked her something. They talked for a few minutes before she came back to me with an excited grin. "Guess what?"
"What?" I asked her cautiously, afraid of her excited face.
"I just got a date for us." She squeals.
I gave her a surprise look and then pursed my lips in a thin line, shaking my head. "I'm not coming."
"What? Why?" She exclaimed with a frown. "Are you still hung up on Ethan?"
I gave her an unimpressed look. I haven't told her anything about our night together. I feel she would faint while fangirling about him. I just told her about my date with him and how he surprised me by getting a cake for me.
"No. I just don't feel like going on a date." I replied.
"Come on. Please." She pleaded. "Do it for me."
"I don't think.." I began, eyeing Lizzy's pouting lips. "Alright fine. But only this one time."
"I promise!" She exclaimed and jumped up and down while hugging me. Stupid girl.

"How do I look?" I asked, giving myself a once over. I was wearing jeans and t-shirt with a scarf around my neck. I added a thick jacket and a hat that Ethan got me. It was snowing outside and the weather had turned cold.
"You look really pretty." She complimented as she finishes her makeup. "I'm done too. Let me grab my bag."
I nodded and sighed nervously. I wasn't up for this date, only because going on a date reminds me of my date with Ethan. Suddenly, my phone rang. I turned around to locate my phone and found it on Lizzy's bed. I checked the caller ID and it was an unknown number.
"Hello?" I called as soon as I picked up. No one answered causing me to frown. I checked the number to see if I recognise it, but came up blank. "Hello?" I called again.
"Hey, Scarlett. Let's go. Our dates are waiting downstairs." Lizzy yelled.
"I'm coming." I answered back as I pulled the phone away from my ears. I looked down at my screen to see the call was still on. "Hello? Is there anyone on the line?" I tried again, but when I received no answer, I ended the call and went for the date I was forced too.
