Chapter 21

A ray of sunlight on my face warmed me into waking up early before the alarm could go off. My face felt warm which irritated me so I turned to the other side. Just when I was going to drift off to sleep again, the pounding in my head made itself known.
A loud groan left my mouth as my head ached and my mouth felt dry. Slowly, I sat up on my bed with my eyes half open and looked around the room. I smiled and yawned loudly in content before the events of last night ran into my mind like a speeding car making me nauseous.
I blinked as I remembered bits and pieces of last night. The last image I remembered was of Ethan. I have no idea how I came into my room as I clearly remember being in the living room with everyone else.
Hurriedly to get some answers, I got up from my bed, only to stumble with my duvet and to fall face front on the floor. I groaned at the pain on my forehead and rubbed the sore area. I stood up again and dashed towards the kitchen. I found Lizzy humming a song as she pulled out few things from a bag and placed it on the counter.
At my footsteps, she looked up and gave me a smirk. "Ah! The sleeping beauty is awake."
"What the hell happened last night?" I asked, ignoring all the other questions I wanted to ask.
"You don't remember?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.
"No. I don't. What happened?" I asked, urgently in a hope that I did not make a fool of myself in front of anyone.
"Nothing as such, just that you insinuated that Ethan and I had a thing going on, you puked in front of him, hugged his hands close to your chest and mumbled nonsense under your breath." She said, nonchalantly, but the amusing smile was still intact on her face.
My eyes widen and my mouth dropped open. I closed my eyes and tried to remember the events by pushing my brain a little to exhaustion. Snippets of what happened came into my mind that included everything Lizzy said along with one extra action that she failed to notice. It was me changing in front of Ethan. A look of horror passed on my face as I felt my eyes water in embarrassment.
I curled my hand in my hair and pulled at it as I yelled in frustration. "I am so embarrassing!"
Lizzy chuckled. "You are. The things you did last night. I'm amazed. I haven't seen this you in years."
"No one should see this me ever!" I said as I slumped on the stool and dropped my head on the counter. "I am never facing Ethan again."
"I don't think that will happen, sweetheart. He said he will drop by this morning." Lizzy said as she stopped in front of me.
"What!?" I yelled and winced as the loud voice hurt my head.
Lizzy laughed out loud. "The expression on your face."
I gave her a glare. "That was not funny. Anyways, my head is killing me."
"Check your night stand." Lizzy said and moved to make breakfast. "I brought few things from down the store."
I nodded and stood up. "Remember to take the money from me." With that I walked into my room and saw that there was a glass of water along with two pills and a note. I picked up the note and read the content.
Take this pill when you wake up. It will help with the hangover. I'm sorry I had to leave. I'll drop by the hotel to meet you. Take care.

An automatic smile spread through my face, before I froze. He said he will come by the hotel. Bloody hell! There is no way I can face him after what I did yesterday. I am embarrassed that I changed in front of him when I was the one to deny his advancements. I can't see him. I won't see him. Not until this embarrassing phase passes away. I made it a mission to avoid him.
