Ethan

"Do you have any idea what you have done!?" Dad yelled, pacing in the living room.

Gwen and Ryan flinch at the loud shout, but not once did they look up from the ground. They have been standing there for about a half an hour. At first, Dad refused to talk to them but now he won't stop yelling and shouting at them for the stunt they pulled. Honestly, I was mad at them too, but my concern overpowered my anger.

"Will you tell us the reason for you to take that money?" Mom asked, her emotions controlled better than Dad.

Gwen and Ryan looked at each other, but refused to answer us. I scoffed at them and ran a hand through my hair. "Are you seriously going to hide this from us?"

They stayed silent which fuelled the fire.

"That's it." Dad stated, standing in front of them. "Give me your credit cards."

"What?" They both said in unison.

"You need to learn to respect money and reflect on what you have done." Dad angrily took away their cards and handed them to Nate.

"But Dad–" Gwen began, but Dad raised his hands to stop her.

"I've had enough of you and your stunt. This time you have crossed the line and included your brother with you. If you need money, you have to earn it yourself. Until you don't learn to value money, I am taking away your car as well. You want to go to school, take the bus. None of your brothers are going to give you lift. Manage it all on your own. You will have your card and car back, only when you tell me the reason for this stealing." Dad looked at them in disappointment before walking away.

The twins slouched as soon as Dad went upstairs. They had a crestfallen expression on their face as they talked among themselves.

I sighed and rubbed my forehead before making my way towards them. Mom was conversing with Aunt Benny while Uncle Ben went upstairs to talk to Dad. They were informed as soon Gwen and Ryan came back home.

"Aunt Benny!" A female voice yelled from behind me.

I stopped in my tracks and turned around as soon as I recognised the scared voice of Sophia. My eyes connected with William before they shifted down to his arms.

I felt the world stop around me and my breath hitched. My heart dropped to the pit of my stomach and all the hair in my body rose. I clenched my hands in a tight fist as fear gripped me.

Slowly, without looking away, I made my way to them. My body temperature rising with each step I took towards them. Before I know it, I was sprinting in their direction.

My eyes continuously scanned her fainted form as I quickly took her in my arms. The dried blood on her face churned my stomach uncomfortably, her limp hand falling to her side as she took slow breathes. I couldn't remove my eyes from her closed one as I pulled her close to my chest.

"Oh, my god!" Mom exclaimed as she rushed to my side. "What happened?" She asked Will and Sophia.

Will and Sophia shared a look and exchanged few words with Mom, but I couldn't hear a word they said. I felt my heart beating in my ears making me deaf. All I could see was Scarlett slumped in my arms and hurt badly.

I felt a hand grip my shoulder, breaking my trance. I looked to see Aunt Benny giving me a sympathetic nod. I finally heard her speak, "Ethan, take her to your room. Blake, come with me. I am going to need your help."
