Chapter 41

I tapped my foot continuously on the wooden floor in anxiety as I waited for Officer Riley to grace me with his presence. I was currently taken into a questioning room for my outburst in the station. Actually, I was supposed to be in the holding cell but due to my connection with the Wilson, I was brought here.
The door burst open, snapping my head in that direction. I scowled when Landon walked in as he owes this place. He eyed me head to toe with those sparkly eyes before removing his phone and placing it to his ears, not removing his eyes from me.
"She is here." He spoke to someone on the phone. It was no hard guess that it was Ethan on the other end.
Ending the call, he walked further into the room and took a seat in front of me. "Good to see you again."
"I wish I could say the same." I scoff.
He chuckled, leaning forward in his seat with a smirk plastered on his face. "What did you do for them to arrest you too?"
"First of all, they did not arrest me. I'm just here instead of a holding cell because I'm associated with Ethan. And second, I am not answerable to you." I stated, glaring at him. "Where is Ethan?"
"Trying to save your ass." Landon answered immediately, shaking his head in disappointment to which I scowl. "Other than Officer Riley, the others are in a strong argument to arrest you. Though, I think it's going to be one bloody task seeing that you could kill millions right now if given a chance."
"You would be first." I say, rolling my eyes and leaning back in my seat, a bit at ease now that Ethan is here. Given the situation, I should be arrested for what I did, but I refuse to admit that as I want to walk free along with Lizzy.
"So you agree that you would kill." He says, seeming amused with the answer.
"Only if it's you." I emphasis.
"What have I ever done to you, woman?" He asked, sounding annoyed and offended. I snort as I recall my last meet with him. He asked the same question.
"Nothing. I just don't like your face." I said with a smirk.
"I'm a star." He stated, his shoulders back in pride and chest out in ego.
"So?"
His whole body deflated. "You are supposed to like me."
"Says who?" I asked, frowning. "All I want to do is bang your face on that wall." I said, pointing to a wall right behind him.
He followed my finger and line of vision before adjusting in his seat, uncomfortably. "You are violent." I shrug.
Just then, the door to the interrogation room burst open, startling me. There stood an angry Ethan, whose face was hard as stone and his lips curled in an angry snarl.
I gulped lightly and sat straight in my seat, avoiding eye contact with him. My eyes fell on Landon who was openly smirking at me now and looking excited for the upcoming wrath of Ethan. He is a pure sadist. In return, I bared my teeth at him, which of course, did not go unnoticed by Ethan as he was literally in my face.
I jerked back and cleared my throat. "Hey, Ethan. Didn't see you there."
"I told you to wait for me." He began. "Not only did you barged in and demanded they release Lizzy but also had the audacity to point the bloody gun at the officers. You snatched a gun from their holster. What were you planning on doing? Shoot them if they did not release your friend?"
