KARMA: 2015 - RIO DE JANEIRO
APARTMENT
LA ROCINHA
THERE WAS ONE THING THEY NEEDED TO KNOW, IN THE PATH OF VENGEANCE, NOT EVERYONE MADE IT OUT ALIVE.
Upon sending that message, Gavin had painted a bullseye target on Praga and Karmina's back, he allowed vengeance to cloud his judgment. If his mentors saw him now they would be incredibly disappointed in him, emotions get you killed, that was the number one lesson he was taught since they moved him to the facility in Rio De Janeiro. But after getting his freedom back, Praga and Karma taught him a new lesson, and that was to embrace those emotions. And so he did, he embraced vengeance and without thinking about the consequences he decided to risk it all.
Three military jeeps made their way down La Rocinha streets, they all wore matching military uniforms. Some men wore balaclava masks and others didn't, people watched them pass by with incurious eyes, just a glance before they minded their own business.
Seeing soldiers wandering around Rio de Janeiro was nothing new for these people, they were all used to seeing these types of scenes. Growing up in a place like Brazil, people grow so used to violence, despite being such a beautiful country, it was underdeveloped. What nobody knew was that these men were here for a different reason, they weren't here to protect or serve, they were here to capture a fourteen-year-old girl because one of the military big guns wills it so.
These men came here with one specific mission: to capture Karmina Acosta, alive or dead.
And as danger slowly neared the trio's apartment, help was already there. Alora Stark sat inside a rented car, the window half rolled down and music played from the radio at a low volume, her hair was pulled into a high ponytail and yet she was sweating nonstop. Kalum had left five minutes ago to go after Praga Ferrer leaving Alora behind to look after the kids.
