BRUCE
THE FORMER SCIENTIST LAID ON HIS BED WITH A GHOST OF A SMILE AS HE THOUGHT OF HIS PAST DAYS WITH MARTINA. Ever since that romantic encounter days prior, things between them had improved exponentially, Bruce Banner felt a hint of joy and hope bloom in his chest. After being a runaway with the promise of never having a normal life ever again, Martina Acosta had given him that which he yearned for, a chance to have a life. Now Bruce looked back and laughed at how paranoid he used to be, how scared he got when Martina wanted to take the next step with him, he feared hulking out on her which luckily didn't happen. She made him feel at ease and secure about himself, it was a pleasant feeling for the doctor.
Bruce took in a deep breath as he shifted on his mattress, his brown eyes glance at the alarm clock which marked 10:35 pm. Sighing, Bruce decided he should get some proper sleep, after the man closed his eyes in hopes of falling asleep he heard an unusual bark outside his apartment. An odd feeling settles on his chest as he stood up from the bed and made his way cautiously to the door, Bruce opened the door a little, leaving it ajar as he searched with his eyes for any signs of danger.
The dog on the floor below let out a whimper before silence echoed through the building, not wanting to leave his apartment to investigate, Bruce stood there. On the stair's Bruce could see the silhouette of a soldier making its way up to reflect on the wall, Bruce was quick to shut his door softly before grabbing the few things he owns before shoving them on his backpack.
Bruce put on his shoes and baseball cap before making his way through the window in his kitchen which led up to an external staircase. Bruce quickly made his way down before jumping over the last few steps before sprinting out of the alleyway, taking a sharp right turn as he made his way over to the last place they would come looking for him.
Martina's.
