We all sat down in the living room of my home while Orihime healed my wound with her newfound ability. It was silent for a while as if neither of us knew how to start the conversation. Ichigo cleared his throat and everyone looked at him, waiting for him to speak.

"Do you guys know about soul reapers?" He asked. "How did you learn about hollows? Are both of you soul reapers too?"

"Our parents, they used to live in the soul society, but came here and lived a different life." Luella explained while fiddling with her hands. "They never told us why they left but they did tell us about the systems there and said they wanted something new."

"Since they discovered that we had an above-average reiryoku, they decided it would be better to teach us about the dangers of the hollows, rather than keep it a secret because we would unintentionally draw them to ourselves. They eventually had us training with a family friend to become skilled swordsmen." It was true, our parents were reapers but they weren't exactly good ones either, hence them not being around anymore, but I didn't think that was any of their business so I kept it to myself. As Ichigo started to tell us how he came into the world of shinigami's, the door bursted off its hinges, flying across the room. A tall man with bells at the tip of his spiky hair walked through the damaged frame with his sword in hand.

"Can I help you?" My voice was blended with anger as I spoke to the intruder. I was prepared to fight but waited to hear his intentions but he only chuckled, walking away headed towards Ichigo.

"I'm here to challenge you to another fight, Ichigo." He ignored me, pointing his zanpakutō in Ichigo's face, waiting for his response.

"You can't just burst through the door! That's rude Kenpachi!" Ichigo yelled, pushing the weapon away.

"The door was locked." He gave a toothy grin still waiting for Ichigo to accept the challenge.

"I could've sworn that's why people knock!" I muttered, annoyed since he wasn't the one who'd have to pay for the damages.

"It's okay all you have to do is screw it back in, then it's all good." Just like the man with the bells, a red-haired man walked through the door frame. Who the hell do these people think they are?

"Get back," I said, pulling his hair and forcing him out of the house. "I don't know who you people are and it's rude to assume you're welcomed." The man furrowed his eyebrows, irritated with the setback.

"I'm not the one who broke the door! " He shouted not too far from my face.

"No, you didn't, however just like him you came in uninvited."

"Hey, " Luella screamed, gaining everyone's attention. "Before things get out of hand, how about we all calm down and sort this out over a cup of tea."

Some time went by and the door was fixed thanks to Ichigo. At this point, there were a few people who were a part of the Gotei 13 in our living room. They were in the area because of an abnormal surge in hollows lately, after they defeated a powerful group of enemies. Their mission was to make sure none of them reappeared. There were a total of three captains, Tōshirō, Kenpachi, and Byakuya. Then there was Rangiku and Renji, the lieutenants.

"Is everyone satisfied now?" Luella asked while she poured fukamushi green tea into Byakuya's cup, a bold aroma passing through the room as she did so.

"I'm more of a Sake person if you have any." Rangiku responded, earning a harsh glare from her captain.

"Of course we do." Luella went into the kitchen and came back with two glasses. She placed the glass in front of Rangiku, pouring both of them a drink.

"Why are you giving that stuff to her?" Tōshirō was upset, but I didn't understand why since they were both adults.

"Don't worry, I'm about to drink the rest so it's not like she's getting any more." Luella joked about it, further agitating him. His face turned a light pink from embarrassment since he wasn't taken seriously.

"Are you even supposed to be drinking, how old are you?" Tōshirō said, questioning my sister who was around his height. Her face turned up and it was clear she took offense.

"The question is how old are you shorty. What are you? The captain of the playground? Who gets to go first in the sandbox?" She teased, causing a few people to choke on laughter.

"I'm taller than you!" He yelled above the giggles, frustrated with the mockery.

"Well compared to everyone else here you're just a kid. I mean look at that guy over there." She pointed to Kenpachi. "Us short people should stick together, yet here you are insulting me, assuming I'm a kid when we go through the same thing."

"Captain, we should let them join the Gotei 13, from what Ichigo said, they already have the skill." said Rangiku who was jumping up and down, clapping her hands.

"Ichigo's words aren't enough to accept them, but I'm sure you're only saying that since she offered you Sake." My sister stared at Tōshirō with a slight hint of fondness in her eyes. I figured she was falling for him but kept it to myself because I could've been wrong.

"So where do we start?" I asked him, ready to become a member of the soul society. I always wondered how it would be working for them. Maybe I would understand why my parents took the route that they chose or I'd see that they were bad people for no reason.

"Now, we will go to Urahara's shop."
