➟ jack
┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄I woke to the smell of something burning badly.
"Ugh, can't you cook breakfast somewhere further away?" I groaned, rolling over. No one responded so I opened my eyes.
Dark, charcoal dirt was placed instead of the light, chocolate dirt. I jumped out of my sleeping bag. The rest were spread out along the small cliff side in which I stood. I spun in a circle. I was standing on the edge of an erupting volcano.
"Nia!" I called out. "Kyle? Ly!" No one responded. I began to head down the side of the volcano, carefully, for fear of catching on fire. Then I caught on; I stopped.
You're a Firian you can't catch on fire, dumb ass, I told myself.
I continued down the mountain side. I reached the bottom, catching my breath. I was probably the worst Alliot to Alliot ever.
"Nia!" I screamed again, "Tommy! Zane!" Nothing. I sighed.
"Jack!" a voice called. It was soft and familiar.
"Hazel?" Nothing.
"Jack!"
"Who's there?" I called, turning back around.
"Jack!" It called one last time. I turned back around and almost screamed. I felt like I was looking in a mirror. I tilted my head and so did she. I began to turn, examining her. She did the same. The girl in front of me was an exact three dimensional replica. The girl was someone I know almost too well. The girl was me.
We were in the opposite sides now. She was against the volcano and I faced it.
She put her hands on her hips, "Hey, Jocelyn. Or should I say Grease? That's what they called you in school, isn't it?" She spoke with a taunting tone.
I gritted my teeth and clenched my fists. Back in middle school when Super had the brilliant idea to send us all the public schools, the girls there would think I was strange and weird. I did nothing wrong, usually I would just either listen to the lecture or read my book in silence.
They called me Grease because of my last name being Gree. I hated it so much.
"Not very talkative I see. Hm, isn't because of the extreme shyness? Oh come on Greasy. Say something." She smiled and cackled, obviously mocking me.
"Shut up," I said slowly.
"What was that? Can't hear you!"
"Shut up," I said louder.
"One more time?"
"I SAID SHUT UP!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. I swear it, there is no other person in the world I hated more than I hated myself.
"Awe, you are really cute, Grease Grease." Evil-Me said in a bubbly manner, still taunting and mocking me.
"Why are you here?" I asked bitterly.
"Same reason you're here, Jocelyn. I'm going to kill you, you know. Then I'll reunite with Nia, Ly and Sam and Zane. Oh and we can't forget about Kyle." She laughed. I clenched my fists tighter. "I know how much you like him, Jackie. I mean, I am you. I know everything about you. Oh how much you want that boy. How much you want to kiss his sexy lips. How much you-"
"Stop!" I yelled. "Enough, please."
"I know your darkest secret. The secret you've never told anyone."
I stayed silent. There was no way the Elders knew about this.
"June 1st 2045," she began. "Three years ago you, Nia and Tommy were on your way to one of the last days of middle school. After that you were to be moved into the newly built classrooms in SOSA."
