┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄Tommy was the first one to notice. He stared out the window for a long while.
My bags had got here by my foster parents. They had always been so sweet to me and it was a shame I wasn't able to see them. I had begun to unpack my clothes when Tommy started looking out the window.
"Uh- Whatcha doin' there?" I asked flatly.
"Storm... Oh this is bad. This is really, buggin' bad." He turned around and I place one of my band t-shirts inside a drawer.
"What?"
"We gotta go, follow me." He said, walking out the door. I rolled my eyes and sighed.
"What are you doing?" I asked. I decided to go after him, and had finally caught up to him.
"The storm," he almost yelled. "it's not natural!"
"Dang man, I'm sorry. Geez, I just got here cut me some slack," I replied, holding my hands up in surrender. I had been there not four hours and I was already getting yelled at. I wanted to go home.
We reached the door and the scent of burning wood caught my nose. Tommy tried to open the door but jumped back, yelping. "That's really hot," he said, rubbing his hurt hand.
"Here," I said, metallizing my hand. I opened the door without getting burned.
Jack and Ly both stood in the middle of the dorm in a flat out brawl. One of the tables was on fire and vines covered the bunk beds.
"Jack! Stop! You just met this girl!" He called.
"What the hell is he doing?" I huffed under my breath.
This is not how you handle the situation, I thought. I wasn't one to go around stopping fights, but I did know a thing or two about the subject. He couldn't just talk her out of it.
I walked up to Ly and struggled with her arms, pinning them behind her back before she could throw another punch at Jack. Tommy saw what I was doing and did the same thing to Jack as she comes up to kick Ly with fire. I pull Ly and myself backwards, her foot missing the both of us.
"That's... how you handle things," I breathed. Ly struggled out of my arms and faced me. "What the hell are you doing, Ly?! Do you know how much trouble you could get into?"
"It was her fault! She started it!" Ly said pointing at Jack, Tommy still held her arms.
"No I didn't. Ugh, let me go, Tommy." Tommy let go of Jack and she wiped blood from her busted lip. "She started it, Ly did. She insulted Super, so I yelled at her and then she punched me in the freaking jaw."
"Yeah, not apologizing for that one," Ly stated, crossing her arms. The thunder and lighting settled down outside the window and the vines began to crawl away.
Suddenly, Sam, Nia, and Kyle burst in the room with Professor Super. Sam noticed the fire and awkwardly walked over to it. He put his hand over the flames and ice trickled out his finger tips, ceasing the flames. I had to admit, it was pretty cool.
"What in Gods name is going on here? Do you want us to be spotted?" Super says, wheeling up to Jack and Ly. "Ly, you've been here merely four hours and I cannot believe you managed to get into a fight with someone I know, would not just go and fight someone!"
"I'm sorry, Sir. She insulted us," Jack explained quickly, rubbing her jaw.
Ly frowned. "Do you think I want to be here?! No, I don't. I just wanted to be left the hell alone. That was all I asked for, and this bitch opens her mouth and starts blabbing about how I should love it here."
