A//N: (might make another part to this? not sure)
Kya tossed and turned restlessly. Eventually groggily peeking her head out from under the covers. Pulling her hair from out of her face and peering throughout their room. Still dark, Kya thought. Even with the curtains drawn the sun had yet to peek through the covers of nighttime. She rolled over to Lin's side of the bed. Anticipating a sense of warmth that wasn't present. She sighed softly, getting out of bed to check on her.
"Lin?" Kya's voice rang out through the empty comfort of their apartment. No answer. She checked the bathroom first, hoping she'd just woken up right after her lover.
As she walked into the kitchen she saw Lin hunched over the counter going through paperwork. "Hey." Kya murmured, kissing the back of her neck and wrapping her hands around her waist. "You okay?" she asked as Lin reciprocated the affection. Planting a quick kiss to her cheek. "Fine. Go back to bed, I'm just working on some chief stuff."
"It's kind of late, love. Come back to bed, just for a little bit longer." Kya pleaded. Tugging on the Metal Benders arm lightly. After a couple minutes of convincing Lin budged and let Kya guide her back to bed. "Lay on me for a little bit." Kya whispered. Lin smiled, crawling over her wife and resting her cheek on her chest.
Kya's hand found purchase on the curve of Lin's back. It didn't escape her notice that the Earthbender's initial tenseness had long since faded. "Why were you up so early." Kya whispered. The feeling that Lin wasn't solely up to finish paperwork had crossed her mind more than once. "Paperwork, I told you. Besides, you were up too." Lin pointed out. "I was only up to drag you back to bed. It's only six in the morning."
"Was there something else?" Kya whispered after a moment of silence. "Another nightmare?" she asked. Lin sighed, avoiding her lover's glance. Kya knew it was because she was embarrassed. The slew of nightmares she'd been having the past couple of months had put a toll on her. She nodded and Kya squeezed her a little tighter.
"Wake me up next time." Kya whispered. "Please Lin, I know you want to be strong and all but you already are. You don't have to be strong for me."
Even when she was at her worst, Kya didn't care. She loved her all the same and Lin couldn't remember a time when Kya had ever been ashamed to show her that. Her lips trailed to that spot on her lover's collar bone, letting her lips brush against it. She could feel Kya's breath falter but the Waterbender made no move to return the affection. Waiting to see what would happen next.
That didn't stop the Earthbender from leaning closer and taking Kya's lips. Although the motion was accepted, it took her by surprise. Her lips parted, welcoming Lin's warmth. The safe and familiar feeling of her tongue, clouding any other worries she previously harbored. "Is this what you want?" she whispered
Was it? The more she thought about it, the more unsure she became. Her anxiety often quelled their intimacy and love life and it was a truth she hated. Kya, the love of her life was her with her, she was safe. She knew that to be a fact. The love—and ache— coursing through her veins was unbearable.
"Mhm." She murmured. Finally having made up her mind. Kya was laid out in front of her, she'd hate herself later if she wasted this moment.
Kya's hands trailed up her sides instantaneously. Pulling the oversized shirt up and over her head, "You look beautiful." she murmured. Taking in Lin's stare. Those green eyes seemed to strip her far more bare than actions ever could. Although she didn't protest when Lin lifted her shirt off, their bodies flush against each other.
Kya adjusted herself, rolling their hips so that she was looking down on the Earthbender. "Let me take care of you?". Lin nodded in response, words completely evading her. There was nothing to say. Kya would take care of her.
She hooked her arms around the Waterbender's bareback. Her hands ghosted against the soft skin as she surrendered herself to Kya's touch. Her mouth silencing the soft groans that carelessly slipped out as the Waterbender's thigh grinded between her legs. Her hips moved along to the rhythm Kya had set. "Slow, Love." she whispered as Lin tried to increase the speed. "Kya." Lin whispered. "Please."
There was no way Kya could say no to that. There wasn't any situation in which she would want to. "Lay back baby, get comfy."
The Metalbender did just that, laying against a pile of pillows on their bed set and watching as Kya undid the tie on her pajama pants. Lin swore she could have melted right then and there when Kya pulled her hair into a bun. The elastic waistband slid down the expanse of her legs, followed by her boxers. Her touches were subtle. Slow and antagonistic. Kya knew what she was doing, and although Lin didn't mind savoring this moment she wanted to finish now. There was always time for more, she thought.
She gasped as Kya nipped the inside of her thigh. "Sorry." Kya chuckled. "You know I love hearing you whine for me."
The latter statement sent a rush of want between her legs. Kya gave her thigh a reassuring squeeze and parted her legs completely. Lin's hands found their place tangled in the loose bum Kya wore. The Waterbender lifted Lin's legs over her shoulders. Trailing soft kisses wherever she could, lightly rubbing her thumb against her clit. Her touch was light— and demanding— crossing the line between worship and control.
"Yes- yes... Kya, there." She groaned as the healer curled her fingers in the just the right spot. Her head fell back against the pillow as Kya thrusted into her. "Hm?" Kya asked. Slowing the movements, she expected more and Lin knew it. "Please."
Kya didn't budge. Part of the Earthbender knew she wouldn't. Not unless she swallowed her pride and did what she knew her wife wanted. "Please." Lin whispered. "I'm all yours. I belong to you." Kya smiled, pressing another kiss to her hip bone. A sensitive spot that always made her shudder. "That's right." Kya sighed. "Every part of you is mine. You belong to me, and only me."
Lin nodded. Eagerly, she should have been embarrassed but Kya seemed to enjoy the exaggerated gesture and that only made her even happier. "You've been good." She mumbled, dragging her tongue against the edge of her thigh. "Still feeling okay?" Her hand trailed up to Lins. Lacing their fingertips together. "Yes."
"That's my girl." Kya murmured. Just as Lin was about to say something in return her voice was lost. Kya's tongue swirled across her clit. Little strokes of fire fanned the flames of heat churning in her core.
A small whimper escaped her throat as her hands found purchase on Kya's head, gripping the loose ringlets of her hair. The Metalbenders hips grinded up into her mouth, Kya accepted the gesture. Pulling her close. The waves took her by surprise— although there was nothing unusual about it. She could never last long with Kya. Skill, she could handle that. But love? Connection? For that she had no defenses, no walls. Not when it came to Kya. She came, soft moans echoing off the apartment walls. Muscles trembling, clenching around fingers. Then again when Kya did that thing with her mouth— the one that always made her lightheaded.
When light moans turned to gasps, and Lin's hips moved away from the warmth of her mouth Kya pulled back. Kissing the edge of her thigh and up the rest of her body. "Feel better?" she purred. Pushing the stray hairs from her hair out of her face and kissing her forehead. "mmm" Lin hummed, "give me a minute and I'll return the favor."
"No need. Go back to sleep. You were up late last night. It's your one day off and I'm not having you cranky." She leaned over, grabbing her favorite romance novel The Forbidden Night at Ember Island and patted her stomach. A signal for Lin to lay down with her. Kya rested the edge of the book over Lin's back, lifting up her back to allow room for Lin to slide her hands around her ribcage.
