Doc was careful to avoid Grian's barge, not liking how he was the one who was nearest to Tango's death and the one keeping track of who'd died. It unnerved him, but when he told Etho and Bdubs they didn't listen and just told him he was being paranoid. Look what happened to Bdubs.

He pushed away the memory of finding Bdubs in his bed, trying not to focus on the fresh memory that clearly indicated that something was wrong on the server. It was in no way a natural death, and despite not being known for being the most emotional, it was a horrific sight to see.

In the distance, Doc spotted a familiar man in a helmet, Xisuma flying over to him to meet him by the shore.

"Hey Xisuma," Doc said nervously, noticing the trident he was holding in his off-hand, glistening with enchantments. He was holding it in a threatening manner, but he was still smiling amiably, meaning Doc wasn't immediately on guard.

"Hi, Doc! You just going shopping?"

"Random resources, ya' know. Something to take my mind off things. Bdub's body was just- It's hard not to think about it,"  Doc told him, his mind flashing back to the gruesome way the body had been laid on the bed.

"Yeah, his body was really disturbing."

"You saw it?"

"I was the one who got rid of it. Someone has to, and it's my duty as admin."

Doc was caught off guard by a flash of lightning not that far behind him, followed by the crash of thunder. "Didn't expect a storm," Doc joked, watching part of the barge get set on fire.

"Oh, that reminds me! I recently enchanted a channelling trident! Am I allowed to show you?"

"Sure," Doc agreed, not seeing the harm in letting him show off a bit. He himself was fond of tridents and were his weapon of choice. Xisuma pulled the trident back, aiming about 90 degrees to Doc's right, but at the last second he turned towards Doc, hitting him in the arm. Lightning fell from the sky, which would probably have injured him severely but nothing more. But Doc was a creeper hybrid, and creepers blew up when set on fire, or if they were hit by lightning as he was.

Doc felt himself turn white-hot, expanding against his will, the blast radius a similar size to a charged creeper. The primary blast didn't cause any damage as he was the one who caused it, but the debris and fragments of dirt and stone flying against him was enough to cause a lot of serious damage. Being a creeper wasn't enough to protect him from the secondary injuries, a large chunk of rock paralysing his arm and tearing multiple deep cuts into his chest, one even hitting an artery.

"Xisuma- Ple-Please," Doc whispered, using his robotic arm to pull himself up through the dirt only for it to crumble and send him falling further down. Xisuma smiled, an insane glint in his eyes as the rain fell harder and harder, lightning striking dangerously nearby. Xisuma stepped nearer to Doc, the hopeful part of him hoping he was going to help him, but knowing he'd gone too far to show mercy. Xisuma pulled out his flint and steel, holding it to Doc's metal arm and lighting it, the metal melting and falling, the dirt pressing against the open wounds.

A few tears slipped down his face as the dirt got into the wounds, the stinging probably going to get infected, but considering he was barely 10 minutes from bleeding out he wasn't that concerned. He was more concerned about what was happening to their admin, and the fate of Hermitcraft as a whole and the other Hermits.

"X- Please just- Get it over with," Doc told him, refusing to meet his gaze, hoping Xisuma would just strike him with lightning again, only Xisuma just squatted down, tilting his head and smiling, simply walking away and leaving him there, a complete and utter mess, about to die. Doc only hoped that he wouldn't be found by any of the other hermits, so none of them would have to see him like this.
