Something strange was definitely happening. XB knew that for sure. Too many people had died in only a week or so, all of them died in weird ways.

He was currently in his base. He had locked himself in since yesterday, so he decided that he should just stay inside, just in case it was as bad as he thought it was. He usually never lets others inside, not that anyone visited him yet.

Suddenly XB heard a knock on his door, making him jump.

"Who's there?" He asked the other person behind the door.

Moments after, he heard a reply. "It's just me, Xisuma!" he said cheerfully. "Could you let me inside, XB?"

Lowering his guard slightly, but still a bit cautious, XB approached the doorknob and opened the door for Xisuma. "Do you need something, X? I'll admit, it's pretty unlike you to just visit out of nowhere."

"Yeah, I actually do. Do you think I can use one of your farms?" Xisuma asked, leaning around the door.

"Um, sure I guess," XB replied, still a bit cautious, although he trusts the admin, more than quite a few other people on the server.

"Are you okay XB?" Xisuma asked, just before he walked away. "You seem a bit more paranoid than usual."

"I'm normally paranoid?" XB asked self consciously, before mentally facepalming at himself for asking such a dumb question.

"I mean, more than the rest of the server," Xisuma said awkwardly, knowing that saying this would put XB even more on edge so the server can go boom boom.

"That's hardly a bad thing considering what's happening," XB replied dryly.

"No, I can hardly blame you," Xisuma told him. "It's only natural, and listening to your instincts, to the voices in your head is always a good thing. They're normally right."

XB fully opened the door, letting Xisuma into his base. As X walked in, XB could swear he felt a little more unsafe for some reason, like his instincts are just telling him to run away. But Xisuma was his friend, he shouldn't run away, he shouldn't be feeling as if he should run, just run as fast as he could and as far as he could.

Xisuma only hummed as he walked in, looking around the base, nothing odd about that. "XB, have you been locking yourself in? This place looks like a mess." XB shifted uncomfortably.

"It's not as if anyone comes around much," he said, kicking some stuff out of the way so Xisuma could get to a chair. "Sit down somewhere, probably a seat."

"Seriously XB, are you okay?"

"Is anyone okay?" XB grumbled, noticing one of the lanterns go out. He quickly relit it before mobs had the chance to spawn.

"I suppose not. Like, for some reason I installed this stupid mod pack. Alters mob behaviour and affects light sources." XB laughed.

"You planning on using it for anything?" he asked.

"Nah, just felt like it," Xisuma smiled, watching XB's lanterns flicker out one by one, mobs starting to appear. A zombie clambered nearer to him, seemingly without XB noticing. It lunged towards him, teeth sinking into flesh as XB struggled to escape. His face sank, emotionless as he collapsed to the floor, greyness spreading from the wound. Xisuma turned away, not wishing to watch the rest of the transformation.

He smiled as his communicator buzzed, already knowing what it said.
